Can't believe a thread on this doesn't exist already.
Rumor is the Bucs wanna trade Howard....they need a RB. If they would take Brieda or Coleman and say a 5th round pick, I think we would be crazy not to do the deal.

Tom Brady sees this rumor, and is now begging Gronk to come back to the NFL for the Bucs.
All seriousness, there's a reason why they are looking to trade him. (Edited to correct mistake) Breida straight up? Sure. But I'm not sure if the Bucs would like that value.
If we get Brown or Kinlaw in the draft...Solomon for Howard would be an interesting trade.

That ain't true.Originally posted by GEEK:Tom Brady sees this rumor, and is now begging Gronk to come back to the NFL for the Bucs.
All seriousness, there's a reason why they are looking to trade him. He's just not that good - Eric Ebon 2.0. And he's not much of a blocker - something the 49ers have as a requirement to play TE in our scheme. Breida straight up? Sure. But I'm not sure if the Bucs would like that value.

. His yards per route was right up there with little in 2018.
He's been criminally under used.

I'd take a flyer on him or Njoku but not for anything going higher than a day 3 pick unless other compensation is involved.

Not for a much better and younger play in Howard? That's a no-brainer.

I would give Brieda and a 5th (Our original pick) for OJ Howard. They get speed in their backfield and we get a very good young TE, who has two left on his deal. He has a 1.97 Million cap Hit. Yes do the trade if it comes up. He may blossom into a big time TE and red zone threat.

I would trade Solomon for Howard right now without Brown or Kinlaw.

Absolutely a no brainer. Coleman will lose snaps to McKinnon this season if healthy and Mostert will take more snaps this season as well.

Thanks for the correction. You are right. Dropped passes and locker room fit are the two dings against him.

I would love to get OJ Howard at a bargain due to how poorly Arians used him. I am also a Njoku fan, and pairing either of them with kittlKittley, and juice, would give us a really dynamic power look.

I like Coleman, I just see a better value on OJ Howard, TC's $4M+ cap hit & our depth at RB, not to mention we could then draft a RB to keep that depth if we traded one & no longer had a need for a TE2.

I love this guy I had him and George Kittle in my fantasy leagues and I f**ked up everyone with those two a couple years ago. He's so good he just doesn't get the targets and he's under achieving a little bit. In this offense he would be terrific. I would give up a fourth (pick 32 😛) for him

I wonder if we could trade down one spot (14) for OJ Howard?
