Bill O'Brien says yes
I will say this.

a.) I dont have a problem with shopping Dee Ford, per se.
b.) If we do trade Ford, it better be to land a replacement for him (Bosa or not)
c.) If we trade Ford strictly for cap relief, I am gonna be pissed that it wasnt done prior to the Buckner trade.

Great points
We just restructured Kwon's contract... which means loads of dead cap if we trade him.

Don't believe everything you read.

If you have a super cheap replacement in Greenlaw and Kwon already isn't worth his contract, couldn't it still be worth it to absorb the dead cap hit for future cap relief? I admit I'm not clear on the details of Kwon's contract and all the cap ramifications of a trade/cut/etc.
Not surprised....anyone's available for the right price with few exceptions.

It's at least $10M in dead cap... a team better be giving us a fortune.
All these things are just smoke to create confusion for other teams. It is the old "look over there" trick while I steal your lunch.

There are so many problems with any of these trades that it only makes it clear that none of them could happen.

LOL sure. Believe whatever he says. You think this dude's going to show all his cards? Come on, man. Don't be that gullible.
Ford, Kwan, Tartt.

Interesting read and makes sense from a cap standpoint.

I've been in the trade Ford camp for a while BUT not Alexander.

Almost nothing surpris4es me anymore but this could be a load of BS.

Thoughts?

Everyone of those guys got and can be replaced. Ford is tricky because pass rushers are hard to come by but he has a big number attached and how available is he if he can't go.
