I think we may sign Mitch Trubisky as our veteran backup this year. Shanny had him as his top QB that year but knew we were gong defense. He fits our system better than the Bears. He's still young to see if he'd pan out here if he sits for awhile.

Trubisky and Mac Jones don't make us better.

Garoppolo is going to be the starting QB. We need to find him a backup that has starter quality in case he goes down again.

Jones is a 4th round talent that people are talking about as a first round pick.

Jones is going in the 1st, maybe it was the stacked roster at Bama but a team will love him, I think it's Jimmy and a rook that's taken to be his successor

I think you're right and I feel bad for whoever that team is. I'll stick with what I said though, he's got 4th round talent.

I think the best options will be off the table when we are up. Maybe Trask in the 2nd would be a good option. Big guy, good pocket sense, can move more than people think, throws a good ball, accurate. I think he could be pretty good.

You think he'll get that much?

I bet he does.

Green, T.Y., Diggs, Beckham, and Landry all made close to that last year. Some more, some a little less.

He's as good as they are and contracts just get bigger.

WR's like him done hit free agency at 27 years old very often. I think the Michael Thomas contract would be the benchmark for him.

For sure he gets that. Last year (2019) he was among the leaders in tds and he bailed out Stafford so many times. He had a game this year where all his catches were almost jump balls or almost uncatchable. It was a highlight reel of a game. Hopefully we get a cheap good free agent cb or IOL bc I think with Deebo and Aiyuk we are pretty set at our starting wrs

Mitch is absolutely a garbage qb. He's inaccurate and throws killer ints especially in the redzone. Has no pocket presence and might not even be better than CJ Beathard. Max Jones is a second rounder that might get drafted in the first.

We need either Watson which we won't spend the capital to get or a rookie qb to sit behind Jimmy G

I don't like our options for QB at 12 vs the other guys we could pull.

I'm liking the idea of Kyle Trask in the 2nd or 3rd if he starts to fall.
No, I wasn't saying Trubisky as the starter next year.
We looked at an upgrade like Stafford and Watson but they were too expensive. The top QB's in the draft will be too expensive to trade up for also unless someone like Wilson drops to 5. We'd be looking at Jimmy still as the starter next year. I wish they could get him to take a pay cut though.
The backup could come from the draft but we'd be looking at someone like Mac Jones or Trask later.
We could also go for a young talent that has failed so far or they wouldn't be available. We'd hope they still could develop.
That would be someone like Trubisky, Darnold, or even Rosen.
I can't believe there's so many here ok with Mac Jones

You don't like settling with the living embodiment of a unenthusiastic hand job?

Bosa isn't happening, especially if the cap decreases, we have too many guys to re-sign like Kittle, Sherm, Juice, Trent, more important than getting Nick's brother, besides the Chargers will tag him.

And why AJ Green to 49ers in every article, we're not paying him the money he wants.
Well obviously, since In the last two weeks every media outlet is saying the salary cap figures will decrease and the TV deal may be at at lower cost than expected prior to the pandemic. Things change, now we are hoping we can have football.

I can't see how TV ratings go down if the season is played with no fans in stadiums, literally everyone will be tuned in to watch from their couch.

Bingo!

The TV rating were lower from reading little stories hear and there during the season. But the revenue sharing comes from TV and money made from the thousands of people who attended games. relying on TV alone might not help that much

Mac Jones is like eating your veggies. Not sexy or taste good but they are good for you.

You're going to have to suck it up and like Mac.

It's more like doing a juice cleanse. There's hype around it but you know you're just going to be s**tting your pants and looking for a cheeseburger by the next day.
