Neither. You have to wonder what surprises we've got in store if we think we can fit Jones in without it costing us big elsewhere. That's why I don't buy it.

Makes all the sense in the world. He's most likely looking at his final contract, the 49ers badly need a dependable veteran center, why not come home to California, play for a coach he already is quite familiar with and a system that he knows top to bottom. Since 2015 he's missed a grand total of 2 games.

Alex Mack is old as dirt. I think he's gonna be 36 come free agency. He's also been awful in PP according to PFF. Garland has a better PP grade then him...Mack should retire.
