The nice thing is that sitting at #12, the 49ers are in a good position to move in any number of directions. Need an edge rusher? There's some intriguing prospects there. Same thing with CB, OL, potentially TE if Pitts drops and there's always the possibility of trading down, especially if its for a CB later in the 1st or early 2nd. Stokes of Georgia is a guy I like a lot in particular.

I think Lynch and Co. understand the importance of having a threat opposite Bosa (AA ain't it). If given the choice between Lawson with young CBs, or Verrett with an unproven LDE, they go with Lawson (or some established Edge player) and a re-vamped CB crew. I may be overestimating what Verrett can get on the open market. What I hope they don't do is be patient with Ford's "rehab".

Much rather sign Curtis Samuel or Corey Davis.

I feel the exact same way about Ford and Richburg. Time to move on from both of them. Bring in a veteran center, take advantage of the center depth in this draft to add a backup that you can develop into a starter and find another starting caliber edge rusher somewhere, whether FA or the draft and then potentially another edge later in the draft that you can work in as your #3 guy.

Yeah but those guys are coming with hefty pricetags, Patterson isn't and he's good for one or two kick return touchdowns a season and you'd only be paying him as a back of the rotation WR.

They absolutely, positively must bring back Williams though. Losing him would create a massive new hole to fill.

we could use this draft to absolutely rebuild our secondary or we can use it to trade for watson and maybe oline help either way i feep we need to go all in on one side of the ball and roll with it

Samuel would be a perfect fit but he'd be way too expensive IMO.

We could find someone good in the 3rd-5th round range.
What about Romeo Okwara? Didn't he have 10 sacks this year?
Somebody said it in here before but there might be some guys taking modest 1 year deals to see if the cap goes up next year.

I think we are going to see alot of 1 and 2 year deals around the league. I predict we re-sign Verrett for 2 years worth $12 Million. The market is not going to be great for alot of these players unless they want to go to non contending teams. Every contender has cap issues, some worse than others. It's only the bottom tier teams that have alot of cap space.

Bengals are usually good about keeping their own FAs. He might get tagged.

Yannick would be sweet, he's gonna cost way too much though.

Carl Lawson is the ticket.
A trio of Lawson, Farley, and Humphrey I can get behind
