Just heard that the 49ers are interested in trading for him this morning actually. Not sure if true

Interesting. Where you hear that?

Larry Krueger, hence my not sure if true blurb lol

You're on the Krueg show chat too??

Nope. Was listening to something on YouTube, it ended and Krueg started playing 😂
Hope we can pull off signing Simmons. His asking price has to be dropping daily.

Yup has too. He'll have even less offers after teams fill that need during the draft
Jamal Adams

"Adams, 28, played 518 snaps last season with only 85 at free safety, according to Pro Football Focus. He had 183 in the slot and 208 in the box."

Some of those trade offer "rumors" are worse than the s**t I get in fantasy football 😝
i think we got to look at potential cuts from teams who drafted replacements for valuable, but aging players and midseason trade candidates from teams who will likely hit the trade deadline with little to no hope of playoffs.

Midseason Trade Candidates
- C Zack Martin: this would only happen in the event that Dak Prescott gets hurt early and the cowboys tank
- DT DJ Jones: This one is probably likely as the Broncos will probably be one of the worst teams in the league and they already expressed their desire in trading DJ Jones this offseason. If we have trouble stopping the run, no doubt this is gonna happen. Lucky for us, his price tag will drop alot midseason. This trade could happen before the season starts too if 49ers feel desperate about their DTs and need a run stopping guy.
- OT Mike McGlinchey: I know, i know. I havent missed him but i like him way more than McKivitz
- CB Pat Surtain: Would take alot of draft capital but if Renardo flops and Lenoir doesnt continue to get better or regresses, this would be a slam dunk, especially with Chavarius Ward most likely leaving next offseason
- OT Ryan Ramzyck: Saints just draft his replacement and he has been solid for the Saints but with some injury concerns. He probably could be had before the season starts if Fuaga really shows up strong through camp and preseason. They just reworked his contract so the Saints would take on the majority of his 2024 cap hit which may bump up the draft pick asking price but could pay big dividends.

I just am flummoxed at the inclusion of McG. He was hired by DEN, and Payton is still right there, in DEN. It would be $25M in dead cap, and they are already up river on Russ. He's a high paid starter at tackle for DEN, he ain't getting cut.

now if you are talking midseason trade, i still question this, that's a big contract, DEN doesn't have talent, they need all the talent they can get, I don't see them parting ways

i like your post concept
after the draft that changes things, like with Zay Jones, he gone

Ramzyck would be great.

haha yeah trust me it was hard to type. That one i was just throwing it out there because i think Broncos are most likely to have a midseason fire sale.

But i think Broncos are def gonna look to unload players for draft picks when their playoffs slip away fast and Bo Nix busts. Id put down a bet in vegas that they get the #1 overall pick in 2025 and take a QB. They will be in full rebuild mode. Mcglinchey is least likely but DJ Jones and Surtain will def be up for grabs.

RT though, i think Ramzyck is someone to keep an eye on. He became expendable after the draft and has injury concerns. The only thing is his contract and how much dead money they would take in and their playoff hopes will probably still be alive by the trade deadline because the NFC South is pretty bad
Cardinals declined the fifth-year option on LB Zaven Collins.

The former first-round linebacker heads into the final season of his rookie contract potentially playing for his next deal. Collins was once a fixture in the Cardinals' defense but saw his snap rate almost cut in half in 2023, the first season with head coach Jonathan Gannon and his unique 3-4, shallow two-high scheme. Collins' potential departure after the 2024 season could open up additional snaps for 2023 second-round linebacker BJ Ojulari.

Not a fit for their new defense scheme so wonder if they would be open to flipping him. He'd be a one year rental but could be great while Dre recovers

nice work

few thoughts:

I think McKivitz in his first year looked just about as good as McGlinchey in his final (5th) year with us. I think Shanahan thinks the arrow is pointed up on McKivitz.
I also doubt the Saints, or anyone, trades a starting tackle midseason, even if they're 0-6 or whatever, it just doesn't happen. Gotta protect the back-up QB too.
I wouldn't trade for a CB unless there's an injury. I think between Luter Jr., Green and Yiadom (and other backups) to go with Lenoir and Ward, there's enough talent there.

The clear positions to trade for is TE and DL, I feel like we're set everywhere else (barring injuries).

I would trade for DJ Jones on June 2nd, when we have 18m cap space freed up. But Denver didn't really draft or sign a replacement, so it's doubtful he's available, unless they start out with a bad record and want to dump (def possible).

looking at '25 FAs, potentially bad teams dumping talent at the deadline - my top targets would be:

Khalil Mack
Haason Reddick
Matt Judon
DJ Jones
Chase Young (yeah, again)
Pat Freiermuth
