Mid season trade targets this year

Curious....Would Ward, Pettis and a 1st be enough (from a money standpoint) to land us Stephon Gilmore or Michael Thomas

I have not looked into it from a cap standpoint. Now either of those would be a big time move.

I realize it's unlikely but if we could land gilmore, Sherm could play some safety when he gets back. Thomas would just make our offense unstoppable.

Thomas is only gonna cost $1M this yr on the cap, issue is that goes up drastically in 2021...they will want at least a 1st rd pick for him and they will be taking DM hits.

Ward only frees up about $2M if traded but they will have yrs of DM hits (around $2M per). It's not realistic

IF we can get Thomas, you gotta pull that trigger. As much as I like Aiyuk and Deebo, I would offer one of them plus a first rounder.

1,725 yards and 150 receptions last Year is some Jerry Rice type Numbers.

Thanks for clarifying
Giants looking to trade for Galloday, I'm jealous if so, he's one of my favorite WRs in the league.

Oh he's great no doubt about it, I think he makes his hay in the slot and as a possession WR. More than a complete 3 level WR like Jerry was.

They also already paid Kittle to basically do that. You're basically saying goodbye to at least a 1st rd pick, Trent Williams and possibly another FA in 2021.

That's a big no from me. We're fine at playmakers. They need an edge rusher.

Why in the world would the giants be trying to do that?

No, I wouldn't give up either of them in any deal, I'd give up a 1, and a 3 in 2022 at most.

Ward has a $1.5M base salary, plus a $500K per game RB, they don't save much, they can't afford Gilmore. Next year would be super tight with Thomas's cap number.

You wouldn't trade for Jerry Rice in his Prime?Thomas is definitely the #1 in the League. He looks like a future Hall of Famer.

I'm good with saying goodbye to a 1st, 33 year old Williams and another random FA. I would throw in Samuel or Aiyuk in, whichever the saints would want too.

This Franchise has been blessed with 2 of the top 4 WR of all time in Rice and Owens, we could use another great one.

The Saints GM would laugh in your face.

lol Thomas isn't "Jerry Rice in his prime"

and imagine being willing to give up a 1st rounder, an all pro LT, Deebo or Aiyuk and MORE for Thomas. hahahahaha! i really hope youre never the GM of the Niners.

You don't have to worry I am not, but I doubt what you have to say carries any weight what the 49ers Offensive Guru HC thinks either.

It is gonna cost minimum 2 1sts. Your essentially giving up 1st Rounder Aiyuk plus a 1st round pick. Williams can be replaced for a season with Justin Smile who played well in place of Staley last year. Let's not act like Williams is a 25 year old LT. Comon
