I agree with you. I like Williams but the guy is gonna be what 32-33 years old. I don't think it would be wise to give him the bag when we could be looking for another LT in 1-2 years when his body suddenly breaks down. I think Staley made it to 35 years old and his body was tore up.

If I could get a 2nd for Trent Williams I'm doing it and seeing how Justin Skule performs

I agree with you here. I like Williams, he is a HOF player, but he is also 32-33 years old, with a season down the drain. He will be one year older next year. I don't think it would be wise to give him the bag at his age.

I believe Staley mad it to 35-36 and his body was tore up.

Much rather trade for a pick. This isn't a playoff team as is and we're Strapped for cap and have little draft capital due to last seasons Sanders and T.Williams traded. so might as well give them snaps to the guys we have. The snaps are beneficial for young guys (like Mosley and Hasty) who may be long term guys. This team, as a whole, didn't get better. The only healthy player that is better from last year is Warner.(not counting Varrett).

Won't work cap wise, Ward's base is $1.5M, Kerrigan is $7.8M, you need to prorate them, so $794,118 for Ward left, $4,129,412 for Kerrigan, we only have $1.7M in cap room, we still need money for practice squad elevations, and per game roster bonus pay backs, don't expect any trades, or big trades.

Man I'm kinda there too right now. I'd like too see what McKivitz can do, maybe see if anyone would throw a late pick for Brunskill? I'd like to hang on to Tomlinson just for some continuity.

At this point, I'd probably trade Jimmy too.
