Likely worst off. Dude was spoiled as hell with the Steelers. He forced his OL to hold their blocks longer than any RB in the NFL.

Yep, unbelievable offensive line, he didn't know how good he had it lol

Not a trade I want but saw this

Can he play CB, C/G or DE?
Trade Jimmy and Coleman for Bell
Didn't we try to go after Bell but he decided to go for the money and went with the Jets?? I recall reading we went after Bell but he went with the Jets.
Bell released

Honestly, if we're making trades, it should be unloading players for picks.

Spoon for a 5th
Pettis for whatever we can get
Coleman could probably net a 4th from the Jets.

Already lost a 3rd in the trade for Trent Williams. Need to get some young, cheap talent on the roster

lost a bunch of picks with the dee ford. cj and pettis things and sanders.. i only say sanders cuz of course i loved him and the fact we never made an attempt to sign him was just throwing picks away. you give a bunch of money to one year hits in ward and aa. trade buck and then made zero attempt to sign the guy who was near the top of people responsible for you getting to the super bowl.. then you keep sanders and maybe spend a pick to actually fix the o line

We won't get a 5th for Spoon nor a 4th for Coleman.

Best bet Pettis for GB's Josh Jackson. Bust for bust.

I like this trade.

San Francisco 49ers get: Edge Ryan Kerrigan

Washington Football Team gets: WR Dante Pettis, 2021 fifth-round pick

Speaking of the Niners, they badly need short-term help on the edge, with Nick Bosa and Dee Ford both on injured reserve. Most teams aren't willing to trade away effective veteran edge rushers, but Washington is rebuilding and has one in Kerrigan, who has a little over $8 million in salary left in the final year of his deal. The 49ers would have to clear out some cap space to make this trade work, which they could do by extending Richard Sherman or Kyle Juszczyk or via restructuring Jimmy Garoppolo's deal.

In return, Washington could buy low on a weapon for their various quarterbacks by going after Pettis, who has barely been seen since a promising 2018 season. He played 29% of the offensive snaps last season, and despite the 49ers being hit by a rash of injuries, the former second-round pick is at just 19% this season. Pettis is reportedly dealing with a knee injury, but he has two years left on his rookie deal and could emerge as a slot option over the next year and a half.

It all depends on how these next few games go, and who comes onto the market. If we win out up until the tradeline, we might need something to get us over the hump. If we lose out, I would like to try and accumulate some extra picks. We are definitely a little light on draft capital. So I don't disagree with you entirely, but I'm still optimistic enough to hold out hope for this season and will wait to agree with you.

It's funny you say that cause I really wanna see Pettis traded to GB specifically. I don't think Pettis is talentless, I just think he's not a good fit for this offense. Rodgers is obviously a better thrower and will throw to whoever is open.

All good. It's just my FO philosophy. I'm thinkin about Warner's upcoming contract too. At this point, I'd rather trade Dee Ford as well and keep Hyder too. Another thing hurting is that Coleman, Spoon and Pettis aren't on the field and that's hurting their trade value.

Maybe, NYJ have a fire sale - they've got to have something we want.

I think Dee Ford is done anyway, but it would be nice if we could get something in return for him. I don't think anyone is going to roll the dice on trading for him before the deadline when he is on the IR list for at least another game or two. Ideally, he is the player I would like us to move on from the most. What good is a Ferrari if you can't drive it. The insurance is killing you even when it is in storage. We're not driving it enough to justify the purchase, and seems like every time we do, it ends up back in the shop.
