Wait you mean Lawson could go to the practice squad? No way he's a damn good edge rusher.
Oh I thought he was available to sign.
Oh god no, he's a quality edge rusher who's young.

Whole list is pretty crappy. To me it really doesn't matter at this point.Ansah, Clay, or Suggs really not making much of an impact at this point. Kerrigan is still a solid player to sign in the off season but he's on the back side of his career. Always been stout vs the run as well. If we could get him for a 4th rounder i'd be cool with that. Anything more then we need to keep the pick. .

And play who? They can't roll out who they currently have and expect to get an adequate pass rush. No one can expect a great list of edge rushers mid September.
If they bringing in Ziggy and somehow trade for Lawson that would be money imo.

49ers have to replace three guys.
Ziggy is one, Cam could be a 20-25 snap guy.
Called on Carl Lawson#49ers are working. This team isn't giving up, neither should we #FTTB
We called on Lawson? That would be amazing if actually true

I had Wake listed as a possible vet depth addition early in the off-season that I'd like to see. He's great in a wide 9 alignment and played well last year in his limited snaps (less than 200). From what I saw of him, he was still effective.
For pff lovers out there they graded him at an 83 last year. Once again though that was based on 195 snaps. I wouldn't mind him on a limited snap count but if Carl Lawson was a possible get, he'd be probably about as good of a player as we can expect to get at this point. Great fit for this defense.

Wonder what it would take to get Lawson, I think he can be great in this line even with Bosa out, he's never had good players line up him besides Atkins. Ford- AA -Kinlaw- Lawson is nice with some good rotational players in Hyder and Ansah

Where are people getting this idea that the Bengals are open to trading Carl Lawson? That would be so dumb. Carl Lawson is a beast.

It would take more than the 49ers are willing to spend. It's for much more than one year, go for it.
