My only thought...why would Houston ever send him to the AFC?

Cause the Dolphins have lots of picks and a young QB

Dolphins have recently said that Tua is their guy. Might just be to up his price in a trade.

Yeah they've got the ammo, for sure. It's just so rare to see good players traded within the conference, let alone a top QB.

There isn't even a hint that shanahan is interested in watson. Everyone is simply speculating at this point. We all speculated that antonio brown was going to be a niner also. I'd put watson coming here at about 3 percent.

Vegas has it at 9:1 odds. The guys in the desert are smart. 3% sounds like a Jimmy G homer. Just saying.

Agreed. It is something the FO of the Texans may decide they don't want to deal with and choose to ship Watson to the NFC. But they can use the Dolphins the leverage a better trade

Brown even posted that photoshop of him hugging rice, turns out niners made the right choice not picking him up.

Miami's two first rounders this year+Tua is a better package than anyone else can offer and its not even close.

Niners 2021 1st, 2022 1st and 2023 1st and Jimmy is pretty good too.

Yah because Kyle or Lynch is going to say what their intentions are to the whole world let alone tamper with a guy on another team

I can't see HOU trading him within the conference unless it's gross overpayment which MIA is capable of offering if they choose to.

Yeah agreed. It would certainly be possible, but it's just rare. I'm racking my brain to think of other QB trades in recent memory. Brees, Alex Smith, and Cutler are the only ones that come to mind. All cross-conference trades.

Either way, this still feels like a pipe dream, but dreaming is free!

Watson can be as mad as he wants, but he has no leverage. He's signed long term and don't see houston trading him. He's either going to play for them or he can sit out and not get paid. I dont see any way the 49ers giving away several years of first round picks for him. They aren't the team to mortgage the future for one player.
As soon as he becomes a Niner I'm buying his jersey
