Seems like a Las Vegas move more than anything...maybe GB to make Rogers happy.

Heard NE tried to get him and #4 in draft night and were rebuffed. Now going after OBJ

So somehow Lynch, Shanny, Peters, and Paraag figured it out.

I refuse to believe that many other contenders in the league have front offices that figured out how to manipulate the hell out of the cap by pushing money down the road, but somehow we'd be immediately screwed if we acquired Julio. The only thing that should make Lynch hesitant is Atlanta's asking price or Julio's health. If both are good, then I'm all for it.

Move on from Jimmy, restructure contracts, re-sign those that need to be re-signed, and give yourself a 2-3 year window of trying to win a championship or two with a loaded roster. After that you have to hope that Lance is special enough to keep us in contention and lead a roster that won't be as loaded until they can build it back up again.

Who's contract are you restructuring? There aren't really any. Only way I see Julio coming here is if HE takes a pay cut and we move on from Jimmy before his money becomes gtd. I also have no idea what they would accept for a compensation.

Toss in personnel groupings...either we abandon our 21 personnel have Juice sitting on the bench or Deebo takes a big hit in snaps.

There isn't anyone's contracts to redo right now that would create cap room without harming the future cap, redoing any of the following(AA, Jimmy, Ward, Laken) will just take away more cap room in the future, right now we'll be at $8M-$10M before a Warner extension, it's just not feasible, and we're not cutting or trading JG, it makes no sense to do this, Lance isn't ready to be the starter, this is just dumb to keep thinking we are gonna or should deal for Julio, he costs too much in 2021 and 2022, plus it takes too much picks to get him, it's not worth it. Same with Rodgers, trading for Rodgers will cost us keeping Bosa, Warner, Dre, and others.

We have like 35 players signed for 2022, and when JG is gone, we'll be around $20M under, before a Warner extension, and we have some good UFAs we should re-sign(Verrett, Jones, and others), plus we can't risk going into 2023 offseason with Deebo and Dre unsigned, nor should we wait for 2023 to extend Bosa, might as well do it in 2022 when he's eligible.

Julio is 32, injury prone, costs too much money, will also cost too much in draft picks, just not worth it, and Julio isn't going to take less to come here, he'll want a new deal as the highest paid WR, and no way in hell do I do that, he's not the same WR, plus he'll take play time away from Deebo & Aiyuk, who are the future at WR IMO. Enough having these googly eyes over big names when they're available, we can't go after and get everyone, nor should we, and you guys complain about Dee, Richburg, Kwon cause of injuries, but are all for Julio, also injury prone? No thanks, hard pass.

Moving on from Jimmy and Mostert alone is more than enough. Some of y'all act like it's impossible, but I doubt Shanny isn't thinking long and hard about if we should pursue Julio next month. Shanny raves about him and putting Julio with Kittle/Aiyuk/Deebo is terrifying. Lance most likely wins OROY with all those weapons.

No it won't help, because as I said in 2022 we'll have about $20M in cap room after getting rid of JG, but before a Warner extension, should be $5.5M cap number, so down to under $15M, Julio costs $11.513M, we'd be under $5M, and we would have to sign picks, what about pending FAs? We wouldn't have money to bring in any FAs, cause you know everyone will want us to sign this guy, that guy, him, him, him, etc... Cause that's how 49ers fans think.

As for 2021, we're gonna be around $8M-$10M under without a Warner extension, Julio isn't taking a pay cut or redoing his deal, he wants a new deal. As for the whole Bosa's deal won't kick in until Julio is gone, that's not true, if they extend him in 2023, that's when the deal begins, or 2022 it would begin then, we would be paying Bosa a huge signing bonus. And we trade for Julio, keep him for 3yrs, let him walk? Potentially lose some key young guys, just cause he's Julio Jones, again like I said, injury prone, yet people b***h about Dee, Kwon, and Richburg signings, but now want an injury prone WR Julio, 32yrs old, no thanks again. Not happening. No disrespect to Maiocco or other media guys, but they don't know the cap, they just speculate, they see what the NFLPA report says and run with it. We don't have $17.86M, we're closer to $12M after Lance, Sermon & Thomas sign.

No matter how many times I write about it, people just seem to think we can do it without any issues. Julio isn't even the player he was 5yrs ago, he isn't worth the kind of money he'll want. It stumps the growth of Deebo, Aiyuk, and any other young WR we end up with. Plus all the picks it'll take to get Julio, is it worth it to mortgage the future on a 32yr old WR? No it isn't. Not like Julio will take a pay cut, he wants a new deal most likely, highest paid WR, we'd be dumb to do that, we'd for sure lose a good amount of young players. I agree, NO HELL NO.

As for the Rodgers talk, that aint happening either, what's the point of drafting Lance at 3 to then trade for Rodgers and have the same situation he has in GB, is he gonna be fine with Lance being behind him for 3 yrs, and 3yrs where Lance sits, we ended up then trading 2 1's, and 3 to get a QB who will have not seen action in what 4 yrs? Oh trade Lance for Rodgers, that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard of, plus not like GB wants to deal him, nor should they, he's acting like a cry baby, but he is right, the Love pick was stupid, but that's GB for you. I just wish these 2 topics would get resolved ASAP, I'm so glad we didn't go after Watson, I know he has his legal issues, but so many people wanted him, and were willing to give up 2-3 1sts, and 2 defensive players.

Agreed
If we trade for Julio, that basically means good-bye Jimmy. Which means we have a lot of faith in Trey.

I don't think it's likely. But you'd bet I'd be excited if it happened.
As great as Julio is.... I don't think we should allocate so much resources into him. We gotta pay Warner and then we gotta worry about Jimmy's contract as well. If we get him cool but I think we are OK at receiver. Got a lot of competition at that spot.
For the love of god just keep him out of the NFCW

I don't think any of the teams in the Nfc west has enough assets to compete with other interested teams.

If he doesn't go here I hope he goes to the Colts.
Go get him or OBJ. Let's do this.

Pass on both. Let Aiyuk blossom into a star.

If Aiyuk's growth is stunted by adding another high level receiver then he probably wasn't going to become what you thought he would anyways.

Go get a #1 WR and let the rest of the league be in fear of the Niners weapons.

Or let Aiyuk develop into the #1 WR.
