Trade idea (Julio Jones)

lol welp imo SF is out as long as Jimmy is the starter

Well, if Shanahan is true or telling the truth that Lance looks better than a rookie QB, Julio may say, well, Trey will be the QB at worst in 2022, I love Shanny's system, so what if Jimmy doesn't have the best arm, I can handle 1yr especially if I get a new deal. If so, I hope it happens.

Wasn't there reports he wanted to play for Cam who has the worst arm in the league?

I never heard that report....before his shoulder injury he most certainly didn't have the worst arm in the league. Cam had a hose.

IMO I still believe he ends up in TENN

Lmao, Jimmy's arm got us to a super bowl, Julio knows our system, and knows we have a young QB studying up on the playbook with a canon arm. Your rumor doesn't mean Niners are out.

Let's go Lynch, get this man before the weekend!

Jimmy's arm got us to a super bowl? Dude was 19th in the league in passing attempts...

Fowler specifically said he wanted a QB that could "air it out"

I want Julio as much as the next fan, Jimmy G doesn't exactly scream high flying passing offense that Julio wants to play for according to ESPN. We will see.

Neither does Tannehill yet here we are. I think players think more highly of Jimmy than we do. Our fans suck sometimes towards him. If Julio picks us its because of Shanny's system and Jimmys accuracy. Plus Jimmy does have a good arm. You all act like he has a ramen noodle arm. We've seen a few throws where he aired it out to Sanders during our SB run year

Tannehill can air that hoe out. #1 QB in Y/A in 2019 and 7th in 2020 ( I do think those numbers are inflated because of AJ Brown and YAC). He's in the top half of a bunch of analytical stats regarding air yards and depth of target.

Jimmy's accuracy isn't on downfield throws, but passes closer to the LOS. He simply doesn't throw the ball deep outside of the numbers. It's not about arm strength, Jimmy has enough arm, it's the lack of accuracy downfield because of poor mechanics. A lot of those sanders throws were under thrown IMO. This yr he had a couple to Ayiuk that would have gone for a TD if more accurate.

Is what it is.

When I think of queue bees who can air it out, I do not think of Tannehill. I'm thinking of the Rodgers/Mahomes types. Getting passes from Tannehill does not scream excitement. Plus he is a year older and you have to expect regression from a guy like him. I realize the same can be said about Sir James G. But at least we have a system he knows works.

Tannehill runs the same system…I get it he doesn't scream elite deep throwing QB, it's like Kirk he's actually a top end deep ball thrower.

Tannehill > Jimmy in regards to throwing outside the numbers downfield. I also think Titans will throw more at ATL then SF plus they don't play in NFC

I think SF is out regardless, I don't see Atlanta dumb enough to trade him to a NFC team unless of course they do get that 1st round pick. Which again would bump SF out of the race him.

I'm not getting my hopes up about this trade at all.

If the 49ers don't get Julio(I do now after I talked myself into it), I pray he goes to the AFC, and far away from the NFC West, and also no Chiefs(not even sure they can create enough cap room anyway). I could see the Ravens being in the mix for Julio, they don't really have a true #1 that I can think of, Hollywood Brown, Rashod Bateman, Sammy Watkins(those are the ones I can think of off top of my head).
Also as for us, I don't think we NEED Julio to contend in 2021, it'd be nice, but it's not a NEED to win a SB, but that's my IMO, I think our D will be very good in yr1 under DeMeco, and the O will be much better, more healthy, new guys, stronger looking OL, I'm psyched for the home opener, as I'll be there, can't wait.

Apparently the Ravens took their hat out of the race already

This last comment is straight nonsense. The year started without Aiyuk due to the hamstring and Jimmy was out at halftime of week 2. Sure, there was the week against Miami I believe it was was where he played a half, but the guy just didn't look like he had any business being on the field. So how many actual plays did he and Aiyuk get together? Were we talking Mullins or Beathard, yeah, Aiyuk would have been potentially top 10.
