Aaron Rodgers for 5 years?

You are up in the night. I would love to have Rogers for a few years, but only under the condition that he mentors Trey. No way would I be willing to give up Lance and the next 10 to 15 years of having excellent quarterback play for a 2 to 3 year rental.

I doubt this happens, the 49ers don't have the money to pay Aaron, plus retain key players like DJ, Arden, Laken, K'Waun, and others, plus extend Dre, Deebo, & Bosa. Plus I doubt the Packers send him to us, but he would/should get to choose where he wants to go to, but they likely want multiple 1st's, along with 1 or 2 players, not gonna just be Trey for Aaron.

Denver look like a realistic option. GB are going to want their pound of flesh though, and as we have no firsts it simply is not going to be us. And I am not sure, right now, that I regret this. There was a time I would have loved to have him on the team but I think it is too late now and it is time for Lance.
Rodgers is kinda insufferable with his victim mentality since his misleading statements on his vaccination status. Now he's leaned into full anti vax weirdness which is his deal, it's not football related but it makes him an obnoxious attention seeker. Blaming his vaccination status claiming people were rooting against him for that. Losing respect for the dude with this woe is me s**t.
I don't want that cancer here
People not even doing research, trading Trey costs the 49ers cap room, he has over $16m in prorated bonus that would hit the cap, & no way does Aaron or the 49ers wait till June to make a trade, you want him here ASAP to get acclimated to the new team & players.
No, Cant afford
His cap hit next year is 46 million. DEAR LORD
Only want him as a backup plan to Tom Brady. But I'd gladly take him if Brady retires.

If we couldn't afford to keep Garoppolo, no way we can afford Rodgers, we're set to be $7,858,302 over the 2022 salary cap, just not happening, unless you want to risk losing some or most of our FAs that should be retained. Or restructuring everyone's deal, which will only hurt the 2023 cap, I refuse to mortgage the future cap wise on a guy who also can't get it done in the playoffs, also looks for 1 WR, and has a bad attitude, plus we gave up 2 future 1's and a future 3 for Trey Lance, we're not sitting him another year, and we can't trade him, which would be so stupid, as 1. you gave up all that draft capital, and 2. he has over $16.5M in prorated bonus money left, if traded before June 1, we lose a bit over $8.871M in cap room, and no way either Rodgers or the 49ers wait till June 2 to make the deal official, by then the OTA program is over, he'll need time to be acclimated to the team, and new teammates, plus what makes anyone think the Packers will just take Trey Lance for Aaron Rodgers? They don't care we gave up 2 future 1's, and a 3, they'll want multiple 1's, or a lot of day 2 picks, plus possible good young players.
As for Brady, no way the Bucs trade him to us or anyone, they're not gonna just relinquish his rights, nor should they.

I agree that Denver is a realistic option, it makes sense, they have some good weapons, plus I don't see the Packers willing to trade him to an NFC team.
Somehow Niners have best odds 3:1 per betonlineag to land Rodgers if he leaves GB...

I think the only way he leaves is by retirement.
