If we couldn't afford to keep Garoppolo, no way we can afford Rodgers, we're set to be $7,858,302 over the 2022 salary cap, just not happening, unless you want to risk losing some or most of our FAs that should be retained. Or restructuring everyone's deal, which will only hurt the 2023 cap, I refuse to mortgage the future cap wise on a guy who also can't get it done in the playoffs, also looks for 1 WR, and has a bad attitude, plus we gave up 2 future 1's and a future 3 for Trey Lance, we're not sitting him another year, and we can't trade him, which would be so stupid, as 1. you gave up all that draft capital, and 2. he has over $16.5M in prorated bonus money left, if traded before June 1, we lose a bit over $8.871M in cap room, and no way either Rodgers or the 49ers wait till June 2 to make the deal official, by then the OTA program is over, he'll need time to be acclimated to the team, and new teammates, plus what makes anyone think the Packers will just take Trey Lance for Aaron Rodgers? They don't care we gave up 2 future 1's, and a 3, they'll want multiple 1's, or a lot of day 2 picks, plus possible good young players.
