He's the best kicker we've ever had and still has more years ahead of him. Can we afford to lose him? Discuss.

Blessing in disguise. Kyle will now go for it on 4th and 3 or less way more often.

Yeah we can. He is looking for a final big payout.

Slightly overrated (nothing unusual on the WZ). Can't kick 50+.
No tears will be shed here.

Looks like we're gonna lose him.
Bottom line: Gould is 40. He's a salary cap hit that teams cannot afford to take. The 49ers can fill this need with a much cheaper and younger option.
Will the cheaper option be as good as Gould? That is a really good question.

How can you say that when the 49ers once employed the biggest and baddest leg in all of pro football: Ray Wersching!

Over a period of time, Gould has been the best we've had.

mentioned in other threads but Lambo is a better career kicker than Robbie percentage wise, he's like 8 years younger and he's just sitting around unemployed
he would gladly accept any offer, probably much less than Robbie in cap hit

Based on kicking % for kickers with 20+ FG attempts Robbie was surprisingly quite far down the list in 2022.
Considering what he'd be asking for I don't blame us for looking elsewhere.
