It's damn scary to go into the season knowing you have a playoff ready team and have to trout out a rookie kicker who's been missing kicks throughout Preseason. I swear I thought Shanahan was smarter than that. The one thing I applauded Shanahan for the year he was hired was figuring out the Kicking game. If they don't bring back Gould and I don't see how they can. I'd be fine going into the season with Zane Gonzales.

There was no reason to get rid of Gould, absolutely none. "He was 40" ya, I don't give a 💩 about that. He was 🔥. I really didn't like this move at all

I agree with you on Gould he is money on Xtra point, not to mention he has kicked some game winners for the 9ers. And I kinda put Mason Crosby in the same category, money on xtra point but not that strong of leg anymore. Hopkins he's been pretty decent on xtra points at 84.8% and has a 73.7% on touchbacks, both Gould and Crosby are in the 30 percentile range for touchbacks.

I'll tell you right now I would much rather go into the season with Hopkins than I would with Moody or Zane who can't also stay healthy.

Not with our kickoff coverage luck. EDIT: especially now that this season you can fair catch those and move on up.
