Not to mention cap and draft capital requirements.

We would be unstoppable with him as a bookend on the opposite side of Bosa. I would sprinkle in Drake Jackson as a backup if Young gets injured. Give Young one year with Kocerek and he would be rolling.
He would be an unrestricted FA IIRC.
I could understand if we had some control of him going forward, without using franchise tag.
But to trade him, coach him up and be successful, we couldn't afford to keep him.

I mean yeah. But this would have to be a trade favorable to us, and really I don't see how it doesn't cost too much. Especially seeing how we humiliated them with the Trent Williams trade, not to mention previous bad blood.

I'd do it for like a 4th round pick. Maybe even a 3rd, hoping the guy realizes his career is on the line and this is his one chance. But more than that? Probably not.

If he's healthy for the first part of the season I see someone in SB contention picking him up before the deadline.
Fortunately it won't be the Eagles or Cowboys.

It's not just Riverboat Ron. ShanaLynch operate in the same manner. They've handed the same kind of "prove it" message to Javon Kinlaw. In Kinlaw's case, it's warranted. He hasn't been able to stay healthy. Kinlaw either lives up to his reputation, or...

...Washington will keep him.
When healthy, the guy is a stud. His lingering knee injury is the only reason the Commanders didn't pick up his option.

If you are going to take on that kind of salary, may as well sign Justin Houston(who didn't make nearly as much last year) or Yannick Ngakoue.

Didn't realize he was a free agent still, he'd fit perfect in our wide 9 scheme

He would be what we though we were getting with Dee Ford. I even made a thread about him a few years ago. All he does is get sacks
