Desire is the root of all suffering. That said, I still desire the f**k out of number 6.

Horrible is Chilo Rachal. I wouldn't say we are good however.
Im guessing Trent spends one more year here. We will probably aim to draft a OT with our first pick and have him do RT and then replace Trent when he is gone

We drafted an MVP qb
I really hope Trent stays for a year or two longer, because he's still at the top of his game at age 35 and seems to be having fun

but if he decides to retire after this season, we need to trade up and get one of the top 3 OTs imo... because that's too big of a hole

Brock Purdy? HORRIBLE?

Gotta admit that the offensive line, with the exception of Trent Williams, is a bunch of no names. But the blocking of Colton McKivitz, Spencer Burford and Aaron Banks has improved a great deal from the start of the season. I don't buy into PFF grades of anything, but I can personally see the results in recent games. During the last two? The 49er offensive line has been pretty darn good.

Understand that no line is perfect. Never will be. But it's been darn good considering the draft capital that's been applied. Which isn't much.

I was one of the most vocal critics to the long term deal that Williams was given three seasons ago. I didn't think he would last.

Boy oh boy was I wrong on that call. Dead wrong. He's been worth the big expenditure.

Some names shouldn't be said or written.

I don't know. He's the greatest but to an outsider like me it feels he's thrown in the towel. I rather see him retire then come back for a half ass year to collect one last big paycheck.

He is HOF but I do think I'm ready for us to move on somehow some way. Go one year early over one year late. The BB golden rule.

Has he expressed retirement? He's getting up there in age but he doesn't really appear to be slowing or breaking down. Hopefully he's chasing a ring before he hangs them up

he's not breaking down? how many games did he play this season and last?
man..i saw the last word of the title and my heart dropped

If Trent retires...we dead
It doesn't matter because everyone is cheaper than TW and we could easily get 2-4 quality lineman for the price we are currently paying him.
Donovan Jackson could start at LG and learn next to trent Williams. Jackson was the mvp of the college playoffs. 36in arms and runs over people on run blocks. When trent retires after this year, the 49ers will save $25.5 million on the cap.
