Damn I remember wanting this guy so bad and thought he was a perfect fit for our offense. I'm not sure if it's because the broncos are such a s**tshow at the moment or if he is just an average receiver but wow I was wrong. Glad we got one of the good receivers in Aiyuk in that draft cause wow I was infatuated with both the Bama wrs.

I remember everyone loved Ruggs that draft but Aiyuk was my top WR behind Chase and Smith.

You could see that Ruggs wasn't a great open field runner even though he's incredibly fast... this offense is predicated on YAC and Aiyuk was the best fit then and now.

Personally, yes I would. He's young (23) and still on his rookie contract and in my opinion him and Sauce are the two best CBs in the league. He would put our defense over the top making us without question the #1 defense. Pass rush makes the secondary better but people forget at times that the secondary can make the pass rush better as well, coverage sacks, and Surtain is one of the NFLs true shutdown CBs. It would be like when we added Deion and that was the missing piece to getting that SB. Two first round picks is easily worth what he would bring to our defense when we face those elite QBs and WRs in the playoffs and he would increase our chances at a SB, which is what we should be ALL IN for this year with this team.

Surtain is a very good player. He is not a shutdown corner though. It wasn't long ago that he got beat deep by a wideout off the dolphins practice squad.

lol all corners get beat. The term shutdown corner doesn't mean zero catches on them for the year

I noticed Frank Clark and DJ Jones weren't active for tonight's game. Not a fan of Clark but I'd love to get Jones back on this team. I feel like he could be a real asset against Phillys Tush push.
