If one of the WRs is traded,

If one of the WRs is traded,

What would you expect in return?

A Lombardi trophy.
Deebo hasn't been as good these past couple years but does seem to bring energy and charisma to this team like Kittle. So that's something to consider

Ayuik is budding into a superstar, runs nasty routes but seems to lack consistency catching in traffic
Id probably go with Ayuik just cause his trajectory is up but wrs are a dime a dozen Deebo is unique.

Either way definitely a 1st
We have one more year on the 5th year option and then we could tag. Realistically I think we will extend Aiyuk, have this tandem another 1-2 years and trade Deebo when his contract is too high. Next team restructures/extends him.

One of the high priced veterans has to go pretty soon. 2 more yrs on rookie contract for Purdy. If deebo is traded this off-season, it would save $22 million and allow the 49ers to pick either a wr or ol in the first round. Extra cash can be used for a cb or another ol. Like the way you had it panned out as well

Well, Trent Williams is likely to retire in a couple of years, will that do? Trading a high quality player and using the draft pick to replace him is a very high risk strategy which has often failed us.

Anyway, if Brock gets too pricey we can always pick up Chubba!

best i can do is a guy named Rodrigo
If I have to pick one of the two, then I'm keeping Deebo because of his versatility

but with next year being the final year of Purdy on his super cheap contract, we need to go all in, and I wonder if we could just restructure Aiyuk's 5th year option to give him more money to avoid a hold out and then deal with his contract (or tag and trade) in 2025

if we're trading Aiyuk this off-season, then I would want at least a top 15 pick, or a 1st and a 3rd -- but this might be a case of AIyuk being more valuable to us than to the rest of the league
edit: actually I could see us shopping both WRs and taking the better offer

Chargers, Panthers and all four AFC South teams seem like good trade partners

It was rumored that right up until the trade deadline that Carolina was trying hard to trade for a true #1 WR so Aiyuk to them could make a ton of sense.

A ton of sense to them. Not to us.

im not trading any Wr on this team you have to be insane too. The only way is if its for a top 5 pick and even then i would rather take the sure things we have we have a serious chance to win multiple champions with Purdy
Aiyuk is amazing, and the best pure #1 WR we have, but when Deebo plays like he has the last few weeks, he is almost an unstoppable offensive weapon.

IF he can stay healthy, Deebo's skill set is very difficult to duplicate.

A veteran WR who can run good routes and block is hard to find, but they signed Emmanual Sanders off free agency.

I say if you have to pick one, keep Deebo.
No.

We keep both.
Only if we're getting Marvin Harrison Jr.
