Obviously none of this will ever happen, but its always nice to dream...
Cuts:
Kaep, Brooks, Bethea, Brock
Resign:
Kerley, Hodges, Dawson, Jones
FA:
Brandon Williams, NT. Huge hole in our defense from last year. Will instantly boost the play of AA and Buck, and improve our terrible run D.
Zach Brown, ILB. Have a decent sized hole next to Bowman, and that's assuming Bowman even comes back healthy and playing at a high level.
Stephon Gillmore, CB. What Baalke kept dreaming Brock was, a true #1 CB.
Brian Hoyer, QB. Stop gap QB. I want to draft our franchise qb, and Hoyer, having worked with Shanahan before, will give our drafts time to develop.
Kyle Juszczyk, FB. Shanahan's running backs enjoyed great success in ATL this year, thanks in part to Patrick DiMarco. I'd be fine with him also, but I like Juszczyk even more.
Tom Compton, OT. Familiarity with the outside zone that Shanny likes to run.
Kevin Zeitler, G. Many here don't think he'd fit Shanny's ZBS. I think he'd do pretty well.
Draft trades:
Move down from #2 to #6. Jets get Trubisky, we get their 1st, 2nd, and 5th.
Trade 2nd from jets and our first fourth to move back into mid 1st.
Trade next years 6th for a 7th this year.
R1: Corey Davis, WR. #1 receiver to help Shanny and his new QBs.
R1: Pat Mahomes II, QB. Franchise qb of the future, who I think has all the tools and would develop nicely under Shanny.
R2: Takkarist McKinley, OLB. We miss out on Myles G, but Tak has the potential to be our new Aldon Smith.
R3: Pat Elflein, C. Our Center of the future. Should play well in ZBS, and is a versatile piece to aid in our thin OL.
R4: Devonte Fields, OLB. Bit of a risk, but potentially great returns on investment.
R5: Ryan Switzer, WR. Perfect slot receiver for this system.
R5: Jeremy Sprinkle, TE. Blocking TE for outside zone runs.
R6: Elijah McGuire, RB. Nice late round RB value, who can also offer some value receiving the ball.
R6 Kendall Beckwith, ILB. Complete steal if healthy and back to playing at the same level. Potential longterm ILB of the future.
R7: Xavier Woods, S. Safety depth with a pretty good upside in the 7th round.
R7: Antonio Pipkin, QB. Developmental QB with the chance to turn into something special.
R7: Pharaoh Brown, TE. Big redzone target.
NOT A 53:
QB: Brian Hoyer, Pat Mahomes II, Antonio Pipkin
RB: Carlos Hyde, Shaun Draughn, Elijah McGuire
FB: Kyle Juszczyk
LT: Joe Staley, John Theus
LG: Joshua Garnett, Zane Beadles
C: Zane Beadles, Daniel Kilgore,Pat Elflein
RG: Kevin Zeitler
RT: Trent Brown, Tom Compton
WR1: Corey Davis, Eric Rogers
WR2: Torrey Smith, DeAndre Smelter, Aaron Burbridge
WR3: Jeremy Kerley, Ryan Switzer, Bruce Ellington
TE1: Vance McDonald, Jeremy Sprinkle, Pharaoh Brown
DE: Arik Armstead, Chris Jones
NT: Brandon Williams, Quinton Dial
DE: DeForest Buckner, Quinton Dial, Ronald Blair
LOLB: Takkarist McKinley, Eli Harold
ROLB: Aaron Lynch, Devonte Fields
MLB: Zach Brown, Gerald Hodges
MLB: Navarro Bowman, Ray Ray Armstrong
CB1: Stephon Gillmore, Dontae Johnson, Jimmy Ward
CB2: Rashard Robinson, Keith Reaser
CB3: Will Redmond, Chris Davis, Jimmy Ward
FS: Jimmy Ward
SS: Eric Reid, Xavier Woods
Robber: Jaquiski Tartt
LS: Kyle Nelson
K: Phil Dawson
P: Bradley Pinion
Strengths:
With good coaching, could be an easy 6 game improvement over last year. If Mahomes develops as hoped, could follow raiders recent and current trajectory, and end up as contenders in the division within 1-2 years. Huge upgrade to WR, while allowing T.Smith to go back to where he excels, #2. Defense as a whole, but especially against the run and pass rush should be light years ahead of last year.
Weaknesses:
Hoyer may be just good enough to miss out on a high draft pick next year. Thin along the OL, especially with some miscast pieces in an outside zone blocking scheme. Thin at FS. If our roster can stay healthy, however, I see only QB and OL as below average to average starting units, with QB having tremendous upside.

All these mocks are becoming tha same trade down with tha Jets getting trash in return if Trubisky is there at #2 we have so much power ...

Gilmore seems to be a waste, CB seems to be one of our deepest positions. Brock is under rated, plus Robinson, Ward and Redmond. I expect to see something from Redmond this season.
We shouldn't draft 2 tight ends, if we need a blocking tight end you can sign a FA for vet minimum.
Having 3 strictly slot WR's on the roster makes no sense either. Safety should have more of a priority, possibly Reid's last year and concussion history and Tartts lack of experience.

Using a traditional draft value calculator, the trade makes sense. That being said, QB's positional importance, plus the precedent set by recent draft trades, I could also see us getting a lot more. Seeing as to how this mock is already grossly unrealistic, I decided it better to heir on the side of conservatism.

I agree Brock has been put in tough positions, with no pass rush, and is not as terrible as he's looked past 2 seasons, but I still think it's time to upgrade. I don't think you can ever be too deep at CB, and we have some contracts expiring soon.
2nd TE drafted is a late round flyer, used mainly as a red zone receiver.
Roster at end of post is not meant to be a 53; theres actually more than 53 players listed. I'd expect switzer to beat out either kerley or ellington...leaning towards ellington...might not even be a competition since he cant stay healthy.

Brock is not underrated. Brock is trash, he gets beat on a regular basis. He is one of the worst rated CBs in the league.

I'd really like this. But maybe Bouye instead of Gilmore if we're getting a corner. This team could be really good in a year with Kyle's offense. Filled so many holes this year and in next years draft/FA upgrade the weakest positions. Solid mock

If we get Cousins, we won't have a 1st round pick. No way Washington doesn't franchise him.

Agree, Corey Davis over Williams and would rather have Mahomes than taking Tribusky at the #2 pick.

love it. Mahomes IMHO has more tools than anyone in this draft. I can't be too picky but to see tartt behind anyone on the safety depth chart, is hard to chew on him. Hes one of the best players on d for us. he needs to play

Pat Elflein is way overrated. Has trouble sustaining blocks. There's aren't any good centers in this draft that' high on the board. I'd rather go Guard and move the vet Beadles over.
