-6th or 7th round pick to the Broncos for Trevor Simeon (throw in Kap with a reduced contract if that that seals the deal though they may just try for him in free agency as a backup/starter). Simeon will be semi familiar with the Shanahan scheme playing in the Dennison/Kubiak scheme.

Free Agents:
-Patrick Dimarco FB from Atlanta
-Aldrick Robinson WR from Atlanta
-Jonathan Hankins DT/NT from NYG
-Sylvester Williams DT/NT from Denver
-Coutrney Upshaw OLB from Atlanta

Draft:
1. Mike Williams WR - Matt Millen jokes aside, Shanahan wants his QB to have his Julio no matter the price
2. Jarrad Davis ILB - Fills a hole with a quality player and a leader on defense
3. Brad Kaaya QB - A lot of hate for this QB but I see star qualities if he has time to develop which he does behind Simeon
4a. Devonte Field OLB - pass rush help.
4b. Josh Reynolds WR - he is too thin right now but he has time to work on that and be brought in for deep shots and in the red zone.
5. Daeshon Hall OLB - pass rush help again. You can't win without a pass rush so load up. Will only be used in pass rushing situations as a rookie.
6. Donnel Pumphrey RB/slot - A poor man's C. McCaffrey that Shanahan can move around.
7. Josh Tupou DT/NT - should go higher but may drop because of character concerns. A massive NT to develop and force some bum NTs off the roster.

look i am in no way a kaep fan. but give up a pick and trade kaep for simeon???????? LMAO

2 changes I would make in bold or ocic or ieflin 3rd round. and peterman in 4th

I think Kap is an average qb with still a little bit of upside. The problem is the drama which means the draft pick is worth it.

Just curious, what star qualities do you see in Kaaya? I have watched him play numerous times and I see nothing more than an average Qb.

Agreed. Don't want this kid

Almost everyone seems to have this sentiment and I'm having trouble grasping it. Why don't people like him?

great draft,FA-meh
No thanks on Simeon...if Lynch signs a vet QB, it needs to be one with more experience. I'm not a huge Hoyer fan, but he is experienced in Shanahan's WCO. IF the Pats are willing to make a reasonable trade with Garappolo, he'd be the guy to get.

You have two NT signings...why? They need to sign a true young stud like either Brandon Williams or Bennie Logan. It's likely they'll have Dorsey as a b/u. Robinson's ok, but he's yet another slot WR. The guy I'd make sure I signed is Pierre Garcon. Dude's still a baller and would be a great role model for the younger receivers. I'd also sign TE Jack Doyle...VMac's arguably the best TE we have, but Doyle's much more sure-handed and in Shanahan's WCO, he'd be a solid contributor. I'd probably get a FA RB, too. Hyde needs someone to take some of the hits he's been absorbing...Turbin's available, so is Fozzy Whitaker. Lance Dunbar's an excellent receiver out of the backfield, too. Shanahan will want to feature a strong running game...and Hyde can't do it alone. Also many very good RB's in the draft, but you've got Pumphrey going in the 6th rd...not nearly enough. Kareem Hunt, McNichols, Brian Hill, Gallman, are a few worthy of a draft pick.

As for your draft, no issues with the 1st two picks, but I'm not big on Kaaya at all. I'd much rather draft Mahomes...guy's been one of the most consistent starters the last couple of seasons. You have a total of 3 OLB's between FA and the draft...and only 1 ILB. I don't get that...up the middle was by far our weakest part of the defense. Not one OL in either FA or the draft...come on, man.

Peterman is a 3rd rounder right now maybe a later 2nd round by a team picking later & have a aging QB(Steelers,Patriots if they trade Jimmy G,Bills depending on what happens in FA and a few others...

He could just opt out and go with no trade needed.

Here is why I would pick Siemian over Hoyer: cheaper; younger; knows enough of the Shanahan offense that I don't think Hoyer has a huge edge; stronger arm.

Garopolo will cost too much draft capital and then we will need to throw Brock Osweiler money at him. That didn't work for Texans. My rule would be if the team doesn't view them as a can't miss prospect then you shouldn't treat them like one. You could flip that on me and say that about Siemian but I only view him as a placeholder until a rookie is ready - and he will be paid to match that.

The two NT thing was something I debated but it was basically deciding the team needs to reset. I don't think the team can rely on Dorsey, Williams or Purcel nor can they rely on just having one or two NTs stay healthy for the whole year.

My FA guesses were more along the lines of thinking it will be hard to get the top talent here until both new coach and new GM prove themselves.

I don't like Garcon. He is declining drastically.

I answered the Kaaya vs Mahommes discussion earlier. Mahommes could be a 1st rounder while most believe Kaaya will fall in the 3rd or later.

Thanks. I don't have high hopes for FA this year. This will be a filler year and hopefully they can spend next year to enhance the roster once both GM and coach are proven.

I feel like he has the same mobility as Matt Ryan...
If we get Siemian, can I say I called it first?
