Really?? Read up and get educated. Thomas is a flat out beast and if not for Myles Garrett I think he would be the consensus #1 pick. Just like Justin Smith was the year he came out. A D book-ended by DeForest Buckner and Soloman Thomas would be downright filthy.

Sources Tell Us
"He's damn good. I don't think he gets drafted as early as you do because he's not big enough for inside and he's not as long as you like on the outside. You have to figure out where you will play him, but he won't stop. He's going to be really productive." -- Director of scouting for AFC team

NFL Comparison
Justin Smith

Bottom Line
Explosive defender who combines strength, quickness, and a muscle-car motor to drive him around the field making play after play. Has the hands and feet to be a quick-win specialist and the size to fit as a 4-3 or 3-4 defensive end who can reduce inside for pass-rush downs. He has all the athletic traits to become a high-impact player and possesses more than enough skill and talent to believe he will continue to elevate his game as a pro. Thomas has the potential to become the best defender from this draft class and a future all-pro.
Love the Reddick pick too.

Fantastic mock BTW. Adding guys who compare to Justin Smith and Ryan Shazier to the D and a RB that compares to Reggie Bush and a poor man's AJ Green in the first 4 rounds would be fantastic.

NFL Comparison
Ryan Shazier

Bottom Line
Injuries limited Reddick to just four games over last two years of high school, forcing him to walk on at Temple. The Owls staff helped him unlock his explosive athletic traits on the field, which resulted in three forced fumbles, 9.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss in 2016. Reddick's speed and athleticism might give him a greater shot at impacting the game as a 3-4 inside linebacker or a 4-3 WILL rather than trying to bulk up and play the edge. An ascending prospect with a high-end potential if he can continue to hone his craft.
Another thing about Soloman Thomas is that no-one will out work him. We are trying to rebuild an attitude of what made our D so intimidating. It started up front with Justin Smith mainly because he had a non stop motor and never took plays off. That kind of work ethic makes its way to the rest of the team.

I love the Soloman Thomas pick. Line him up at DE, DT or OLB and he will impact the game just like Cowboy did.
LDE- DeForest Buckner
NT- Bennie Logan (free agent)
RDE- Arik Armstead

OLB- Aaron Lynch
MLB- Navarro Bowman
MLB- Haason Reddick
OLB- Soloman Thomas

That right there is a top 3 front 7 folks.

Andrew Tiller is a terrible fit for Kyle's OZ-based offense. Would be a waste of money. Dont think Chance Warmack is a fit, either.

Ravens are prioritizing Brandon Williams. Dont expect him to get away from them.

Doubt Mike Pettine would DC for Kyle.

I really like Thomas and Reddick, but they're both ideally better off in a 4-3/one-gap scheme.

Don't like Freddie Stevenson. Kyle primarily uses his fullback to block, and Freddie Stevenson isn't really that physical lead blocker. he's more of an athletic H-back out of the backfield with a "get in your way with cut" type of blocker. I want kyle juszczyk, the best fullback in the NFL and an absolute hammer out of the backfield. Someone that will obliterate a linebacker in the hole and is a very capable receiving threat when he needed.

This...Pettine isn't coming here we can all agree on that. I will say it sounds like Williams is gonna get priced out in FA.

I also agree the players he picked aren't really a fit for what we have going on.
Really like your draft and going w/2 D-guys off the bat is fine w/me.
Great value picks plus the Hoyer move and the Webb pick it love
Hoyer?
In your mock draft are you taking Reddick if Cunningham is available?

LOL Soloman Thomas is a OLB please, his best position is a 4-3 DE IMO.

Stanford has Thomas play a fair amount of 4/5 tech, so if we forced the issue of grabbing another 3-4 DE, i'd much rather have thomas over allen. I'd rather avoid both, tho.

I love thomas, but i don't know how he fits in our scheme. he's kind of an enigma because he plays everywhere on stanford's line with the bulk of his snaps coming at 3t, but he's a little undersized at that role.

he's not an edge player. he doesn't play there and we don't know if he can bend a corner. putting him there would eliminate his short-area explosiveness, which is one of his greatest attributes.

it's going to be interesting to see how he measures in at the combine.

Bennie Logan isn't a NT. Solo is a DL. 3-4 DE, 4-3 DE or 3 tech.

Logan is absolutely a NT. Just didn't play it in Philly
