Lol no, you don't need to get desperate. Giving an injury prone wide receiver a massive deal like that is what bad teams do.
so wait, with all the big needs this team has your thinking what draft a WR as your number 1..or wait have Torrey Smith as the number 1 again..? I don't get it..? how would you handle the need for a number 1 wr..?
So wait having a number 1 WR = what??? Superbowl??? 12 wins??? Better QB???
no not a super bowl but it makes everything and yes including a young QB better..a number 1 wr will make Watson better obviously..open up more for Smith and Kerley not to mention the running game bc defenses have to respect the passing game and will be on their heals..are you serious..? yes a number 1 wr will help a lot out but not win a super bowl but be in the right direction to get there..

Wait a year? But it sure wouldn't be drop a big check on a guy that's always hurt. Not to mention he's one failed drug test away from missing 8 games.
Forgot he was suspended, that's does worry me too..

First of all, this is a long process. No need to make hasty decisions.
The most important thing is for the head coach and GM to identify what their vision and football philosophy is. What exactly are they trying to execute on the field? What kind of players fit their scheme? After they've done that, they find guys with traits and qualities that fit that system, and you coach them up.
No need to get crazy in free agency. The patriots just won a super bowl with guys that were day 3 draft picks and undrafted players. The seahawks won with two undrafted players as their starters. Build it. It doesn't happen overnight. It's a long process.
Yes I understand everything you mentioned but you didn't answer my question..i understand its a process but there is no way the niners go into next season with Smith as their number 1..so with 100 million to spend and 11 picks what do you think they do to upgrade the WR position..?

Why does Smith have to be your "#1"? Teams are going release guys, free agency is coming up, and then the draft. Relax.

quite a good roster! I would suggest maybe switching out Schaub with Cutler. They both suck but i think Cutler would have more success and he would have that chemistry with Jeffrey

Yeah idk man lol its difficult to see Cutler a niner, I guess bc I dislike him so much, I just cant see anything good coming out of signing Cutler after he is cut.

LOL I am relaxed, I was just wondering since in your eyes Alshon isn't a good choice who are your WRs free agency and draft wise you like better..

I'd pass on Jeffrey...ability, yes, but injury history's unacceptable. No problem w/Brandon Thomas or Ingram. In 2nd tier, DeMarco is good. I'd add Hoyer, RB Dunbar, WR Garcon, TE Doyle or Luke Wilson, CB Micah Hyde or S Tony Jefferson.
I'd re-sign Chris Jones & Gerald Hodges.
I don't see Shanahan taking a QB in the 1st rd...why? He'll huddle w/Lynch and they'll offer a #2 pick & get Garrapolo. They'll trade down from #2 like you said, but take WR Mike Williams. I'd take McNichols over Kamara. Dude scored 25 TD's for Boise St and is the latest in a run of terrific all-purpose RB's from that school. I'd also find a way to draft QB Mahomes...he has the traits Shanahan looks for in a QB.

I like Garcon and Doyle as free agents so id beexecited about them..Chris jones will be invited to camp and have to earn his spot and I think Hodges is gone especially if they plan on drafting a young guy..i think your saying a 2nd round pick for Jimmy G which I'm cool with but in no way am I cool with giving the 2nd pick in the draft for him, that's crazy..if Jimmy G is the QB then yes id love taking Mike Williams and signing Garcon..Kamara is my guy and I think hes going to be special..
Enjoyed the mock. One thing to point out.
If Watson is Shanny's guy, then you be drafting him @2. Shouldn't risk losing "your guy" to make a couple of extra draft picks. Solid draft/fa tho.

Good Point, my thinking was Trubisky to the Jets and Allen to the Bears bc they traded for Jimmy G..the 2 other have their signal caller already..Jaguars and Titans..

Jackson is twice the reciever garcon is. Yes every season but 2 he had over 1000 yards. One season over 900 and one was 500 and some change. But he also had 1300 one season, and 1200 another. so he is a 1000 yard average receiver.
