I didn't watch much Baylor last season, so I didn't get to see much of Kyle Fuller play. Will check his tape out.
However, his draft profile on NFL.com says he has below-average athletic ability and struggles with combination blocks. Those are the two most fundamental requirements of Kyle's scheme. Sounds like he would be a terrible fit...

Good start. Question: why sign Kerley for only one year?

Im just not sold he's the long term answer in the slot. maybe 2 years but I wouldn't commit a bunch of years to him or Sam Shields.

No on starting Matt Schaub even for 1 play. Other than that it's fine.

I really wanted the wvu kid but didn't see that as realistic at that spot.

matt would be there to teach. Could be Hoyer there, which I actually like more. I just think Kyle will bring Schaub.

Mitch won't be ready so he won't be teaching he'll be preparing to play and we'll be 0-8. He's washed up. I know it's realistic and what Shanny may want but that's one I'm hoping Lynch says naw we need a real qb too.

love the free agency, but lost me at scrubisky. no qb in this draft is worth a 2. But you trade that 2 for jimmy we are in action with all of it. Jimmy has more value at 2 that scrubisky

I would much rather have Cooper Kupp over Say Jones if Kupp is still available. I doubt he will be though in the 3rd.

IMHO NT is the single biggest need on defense...so, why not go for the best FA available, Brandon Williams. Hankins is ok, but I'm thinking ok isn't good enough to really solidify our front 3. Since Shanahan & Lynch will have completed their roster evaluations prior to the FA period, if they like Kerley, why would they only sign him for 1 year. If not, then why sign him at all. Like you, I'd rather have Hoyer, so we'll see which way Shanahan goes. Stills has downfield speed, which is always welcome, and pairing him up w/Torrey Smith could be a very good thing. That said, I'd like for Lynch to do one of two things...either draft Mike Williams or sign another FA WR...maybe Terrelle Pryor. I say that because we have no proven WR's with size. Granted Williams will be a rookie, but he's also the best WR in the country. The other guy I question is Hightower...he's been a 4-3 OLB for the Pats, and there are several very good 3-4 OLB's available like Melvin Ingram, Chandler Jones & Nick Perry. Lastly on the FA's, why not sign Micah Hyde over Shields. Hyde can play both CB & S and hasn't had the injury issues Shields has.
For the draft...I like Trubisky, but not as a #2 pick. I don't see Lynch/Shanahan taking any of this year's QB's that high. They should trade down to get the extra picks and use them to get Garrapolo. If we trade with either the Bears or Jets, WR Mike Williams could still be on the board. I don't see Shanahan with a journeyman or rookie starting QB. I don't get Watt...you've signed a 3-4 OLB already in FA. Where's the ILB? I'd use that pick to get Zach Cunningham, arguably the most NFL-ready of this year's crop. Instead of WR Jones in the 3rd, why not Patrick Mahomes. If they feel he may go earlier, they'll have the picks to trade up to get him in the 2nd. Elfwein is rated much higher than Fuller at C. I like McNichols, Kareem Hunt & Brian Hill a lot better than Jamaal Williams. I see Shanahan wanting a RB who's adept at catching the ball out of the backfield as well as taking some hits away from Hyde.

Kazee is really a great player who most people have never heard of. He could go higher btw. But I like the pick. He will be good for somebody IMO.

Can definitely get behind that. If we can get Jones in the 3rd that would be awesome.
