NYniner85 post combine mock 2017

I'm good with Thomas or Barnett with the number 2 pick. Both are sick and would give out do two very good pass rushers in Buckner and whichever we take. We cannot give up one of these blue-chip lineman. Trading down is not what we need to do
Trading down is exactly what we need to do, if Garrett is gone(Which he will be). We're not 1 player away, and after Garrett, there is a bubble of similar talent at multiple positions of need. Trading down and adding more picks helps fill out our roster in a better way than sticking where we're at. IMHO.

I have Soloman Thomas and either Jordan Willis or Tyus Bowser as the first 2 picks. Willis is also a high character guy, locker room leader, both had great combines.
I also like Robert Davis at WR in later RDs. Fan of Big Stevie as well. Good mock, very realistic.

yeah both are studs...I like Thomas a little more because he so versatile.

who are teams gonna trade up for? That's the issue...also I'm not trading down for some garbage compensation either.

I like it. Like all the picks, but would rather pass on Sidney Jones because it stinks of our recent bad drafts and Baalke. His teammate Kevin King, Chidibe Awuzie or maybe even Cordrea Tankersley could be available at this point.
Would someone please tell me which game or games that Tyus Bowser looked explosive or like a strong pass rusher? I just don't see the impact matching his combine numbers.

I don't see any of those guys being there in the 4th....I went off CBS big board and all of them are ranked within the top 55 picks.

He's a guy that has the tool to be pretty fing good just hasn't thrown it all together yet...late bloomer to football. He's improved every yr which is a plus.

as far as athletic ability he was top five in 40, vert, broad, 3 cone...he was part of that D that kept Jackson to 33 rushing yards and 200 passing yards this yr.

That matches pretty close to my previous assessment of him. With that in mind, I think a high 2nd rounder should be used on someone that can start (or play heavy in certain situations) and I'm not sure that a "hasn't put it all together yet" player is too high of a risk. Leave that to a team that has time to develop him.

Nice job NY. How do y'all feel about TJ Watt instead of Bowser?
