He's a guy that has the tool to be pretty fing good just hasn't thrown it all together yet...late bloomer to football. He's improved every yr which is a plus.

http://draftbreakdown.com/video/tyus-bowser-vs-louisville-2016/

as far as athletic ability he was top five in 40, vert, broad, 3 cone...he was part of that D that kept Jackson to 33 rushing yards and 200 passing yards this yr.

That matches pretty close to my previous assessment of him. With that in mind, I think a high 2nd rounder should be used on someone that can start (or play heavy in certain situations) and I'm not sure that a "hasn't put it all together yet" player is too high of a risk. Leave that to a team that has time to develop him.

Nice job NY. How do y'all feel about TJ Watt instead of Bowser?

honestly I haven't watched a ton of him...CBS big board has him right there at the pick so I don't think he would be bad.

Come on man. If we draft to T.J Watt then JJ Watt will teach him about sack and tackle. He is be like brothers for big supports. The brothers always teach to each other and support his brothers that fact.

I like it. Like all the picks, but would rather pass on Sidney Jones because it stinks of our recent bad drafts and Baalke. His teammate Kevin King, Chidibe Awuzie or maybe even Cordrea Tankersley could be available at this point.

I don't see any of those guys being there in the 4th....I went off CBS big board and all of them are ranked within the top 55 picks.

You're right about the player rankings. Got it right in another post about Witherspoon from Colorado. Sutton from Tennessee and Kazee from San Diego State who should be available in the 4th round.

love Witherspoon's size Suton showed up at the Senior bowl but I can't see him being a press man up in your face type of guy. Jones was my favorite CB in the draft...lock down type of skills and experience. I think he'll be fine in the recovery, Achilles injuries aren't what they were in the past....if he's there in the 4th there isn't a player with his skills and upside available.

Washington CB Sidney Jones (Achilles) says he's the best corner in the NFL Draft.

Jones was defiant about his NFL future after undergoing successful surgery to repair an Achilles tendon he ruptured at his pro day workout. "I'm the best corner in the draft, plain and simple," Jones said. Following the injury, NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah said he would be surprised if Jones was selected before the third round. Obviously, the prospect, formerly considered a first-rounder, is hoping for better. "I will be playing this season," Jones said. "If you take me, I'm a good investment for your team. A great investment."

Love the fire of this kid...RR and Jones as our future lock down CBs. We got Brock, RR, Redmond and DJ this yr this would be part of the long-term rebuild.

I agree with Jones, he would be a great investment, like you said him and RR for the future would be great but with all the needs on this team its impossible to take an injured player before the 4th round, so if hes still there in the 4th it would be a great pick up..but you made a great point that achilies injuries aren't as bad as they used to be..so I could see a team with a vet number 1 who wont be around much longer like Seattle or Arizona taking him in the 3rd..

If you look at my mock we're drafting him in the 4th...If he's gone by then that's fine.

yeah I kno, I'm agreeing with the pick..as for picking any CB, I don't think the niners should until the 4th anyway, the class is so deep that a normal late 2nd round pick will be available in the early 4th rd..

Yup agreed
Great mock (would be even better with Hooker ).

But seriously, there's a lot of good things gong on here. Thomas is a draft and never worry about kind of pick. Bowser has a lot of potential. SJones in the 4th? Yes please. I'm not as high on Zay as others, but we need help at WR, and he'd be an upgrade. Love the Tu'i and Kelly picks. I tried finding an athletic tackle late in the draft, and then almost puked all over the place. The closest one I found to be a fit, and draftable, was the LT from UCLA, but major questions as to if he can ever attain NFL strength. I just couldn't find an OT I like late. But good job getting us some interior OL depth.

Good mock all around.

I'll be freaking happy with this draft result. Although we could use another 1 or 2 offensive players.

Thanks

Yeah we brought in 3 WRs, a OW, and a pro bowl center...I'd like to see what they can all do first
Some interesting picks! I'm becoming less sold on Thomas at #2 because this is a draft that screams trade down to me. Really good players in the middle of the first round and if we can manage to pick up an extra lower first rounder...jump! But you cover many of the needs.

NY's mock is based off not being able to trade down, even though he thinks (as do most of us) that trading down is the best way to go.

Yeah we all can agree a trade down is ideal but like lobo stated this draft is based around no trade down in the 1st
