First 49er Mock Draft and last until draft day

Second to last (I promise) 49ers Mock Draft with NO trades projected.

First Round 2nd Overall: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State: Lattimore, Solomon Thomas and even Fournette get serious consideration here. But I think we go with the best player who also has the most upside and that's Malik Hooker. We know how critical the FS position in this new defense and I think Hooker will be every bit as good as a Earl Thomas who is obviously an outstanding player and I think Malik Hooker will be an Ed Reed GREAT player. We could then keep Jimmy Ward at CB. I hope we take Hooker at 2 and I have a gut feeling he will be the guy as well. I still do hope we can trade down if we can get good value.

2nd rd: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan: truth be told I do think we would have to move up 5-10 spots to get Davis but I do see some mock drafts having him land to us at 34 which would be so ideal, perfect and amazing. If Davis is gone I'm all in on Charles Harris. Or if we go WR I like Cooper Kupp and I'm really liking this Zay Jones kid more and more.

3rd rd: Akello Whiterspoon CB, Colorado: Really like this kid. Huge upside, would fit great in this D and he actually reminds me a lot of Rashard Robinson who looks like he will be a player. Jordan Willis could get a look here if we go DE or we could go for Peterman here but I hope....

4th rd: Jordan Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh: Really solid prospect who I compare to Jake Plummer who had some really good years under Mike Shanahan....

4th rd (comp pick): Terrell Bashan, DE, Ohio U: One of my favorite players in the draft. Yeah he's under 6 feet and that's the only reason he won't be a second or third round pick but this kid is an absolute player. I think he's a poor man's Dwight Freeney. Just a really good football player.

5th rd: Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida: We will take a RB just a matter of where. If Alvin Kamara is available in the 4th rd I think/hope we can jump on him. Mack is a solid prospect and good fit in the scheme.

5th rd: Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama

6th rd: Elijah Lee, OLB, Kansas State

6th rd: Aviante Collins, OT, TCU

7th rd: Avery Moss, DE, Youngstown State

7th rd: Damontae Kazee, CB, San Diego State

As always I appreciate the feedback...

Your right this draft does have a lot of depth and in doing in this mock, I can see it and also makes me realize how many holes we really have. I absolutely love Hooker but I I hope we can trade down. Getting another 2nd rd pick in this draft would be huge for us

Hooker, Weatherspoon - secondary is setup really well.

Davis - if he's there at 34, then he'd be hard to pass on.

Mack - legit rb2 and should do really well in this scheme.

Basham, Moss, DT, Lee - really good talent upgrade and addressing needs. Haven't seen DT that low, but that'd be great for us.

Nice well thought out mock.

I don't think you let our current lost dictate what we do in the draft Tramaine Brock was not an elite player period and was going to be gone at the end of this season.

And I honestly don't think a tight end is worth of pick at all in this draft period we have for it is the deepest position that we have
