I have only read through a few Mock Drafts here so apologies if my mock ends up being similar to someone else's.
Trades
San Francisco 49ers trade Round 2 #34 overall and Round 5 #146 overall to the Indianapolis Colts for Round 2 #46 overall and Round 3 #80 overall.(Thought Process: We get an extra pick in the 3rd round in a draft with great depth. The Colts move up to get RB Dalvin Cook at #34 overall. Cook is amazing on the field, and hopefully for the Colts can fix off field issues by working closely with the likes of Frank Gore. Colts also have an abundance of picks in the 4th and 5th round to draft for depth.)
San Francisco 49ers trade Round 6 #198 overall to the Dallas Cowboys for RB Alfred Morris and Round 6 #211 overall. (Thought Process: We get a legit veteran backup RB to Carlos Hyde who has succeeded in Shanahan's offense previously, plus we still keep a pick in the 6th round. Similar to the Zuttah trade for us. Cowboys need all the cap space they can get and they just brought back Darren McFadden so RB depth is not an issue for them. Also they have been reportedly looking to unload Morris via trade.)
Draft
Round 1 (2) - Solomon Thomas DE Stanford - Can play on the end in base downs and push inside on 3rd downs. Essentially can line up all over and make an impact against the run and can also get after the QB.
Round 2 (46) - Zach Cunningham OLB Vanderbilt - Another guy to help us install this new defensive 4-3 under scheme. Cunningham plays a very downhill attacking style game, also is athletic enough to be a 3 down LB for us.
Round 3 (66) - Fabian Moreau CB UCLA - Ideal for a Cover 3 / Press Man defense which we will be playing a lot of this season. Physical corner who can play similar to those Seattle CBs, excellent tackler too. I think ultimately he and Robinson will be our starting CBs.
Round 3 (80) - Carlos Henderson WR Lousiana Tech - A guy that we have reportedly already spoken with. Henderson reminds me a lot of former 49er great John Taylor (also drafted in the 3rd round from a smaller school) Although Henderson is a little shorter, however he plays bigger than his listed size but has the same ability after the catch. Projects long term to being a good #2 WR. Henderson also provides value as our new kick/punt returner.
Round 4 (109) - Brad Kaaya QB Miami - His struggles dealing with pressure are well documented, however, I do think Kaaya has a very good chance to be a good long term backup for us. Any QB in the later rounds will have issues but we have also seen Kaaya perform well and make some quality NFL caliber throws.
Round 4 (143) - Erik Magnuson OG Michigan - Magnuson played OT at Michigan but projects nicely as a OG in a zone running scheme. I think he can be the primary backup at both Guard spots and eventually take over for Beadles in a year or two.
Round 5 (161) - Jayon Brown MLB UCLA - An ideal backup for Bowman at Middle Linebacker. Bowman while great has had some serious injuries, having a capable backup will be crucial going forward.
Round 6 (202) - Aviante Collins OT TCU - Collins is someone who could very well become a late round steal for us. Might take him a year or two before we see him on Sunday's but he will definitely push Theus for a spot on the 53 man roster.
Round 6 (211) - Aaron Jones RB UTEP - Like Henderson we have spoken to Aaron Jones. Fits the mold of a Shanahan late round sleeper RB that becomes very productive.
Round 7 (219) - Robert Davis WR Georgia State - Has the size that you love 6'3 219 and ran a 4.44. Good production in a weak conference but has home run ability. Will challenge for a spot on the 53 but more likely headed to the PS his rookie year.
