MY 49ers Mock Draft (Projecting a trade with Caroline. We move back from #2 and get the Panthers #8 pick, Second round (40th overall), their 5th rd pick and their third round pick next year.

49ers 2017 Draft:

8th Pick: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State (Ifver can move back and get either of the Ohio State DB's Lattimore or Hooker, It would be an absolute home run in my opinion. Reuben Foster could get a serious look here as well. Same for O.J Howard who would be an absolute beast and matchup nightmare in Shanny's offense.

Second Rd (34 overall): Charles Harris, DE, Missouri: I love this guy and I think he is an absolute perfect "LEO" in our D. Really, really like this kid!

2nd rd (40th overall): Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington: We need a big, physical playmaking WR and Kupp would give us that. Very smart and extremely productive player. I can see Kyle really liking and wanting this kid. A lounge favorite.

Third Rd: Teez Tabor, CB, Florida: Talented, but press corner who would fit our scheme well.

Third Rd (we trade our 4th rd pick and the 5th rd pick from Carolina to get into the middle third Rd): Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson: Very talented tall receiving tight end who could realize his full potential under Kyle Shanny

Fourth Rd pick (Comp Pick): Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburg: Solid prospect who would be a good hit in Kyle's offense. Reminds me of Jake Plummer as Peterman is most effective on bootlegs which Kyle loves to run and Jake had his best year(s) playing for Mike Shanahan.

Fifth Rd: Elijah Lee, OLB, Kansas State

Fifth rd: Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida

Sixth Rd: Sam Tevi, OT, Utah

Seventh Rd: Aviante Collins, OT, TCU

Seventh Rd: Kevin Davis, ILB, Colorado State

Nice job! 👍
I would hope we get more for the #2 pick, other than that I like the draft!! 😎
I really like Kupp, but at 6'1" and barely over 200 lbs, a "big, physical playmaking WR" is not an apt description of who he is. He's a tough, scrappy possession receiver, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Big fan of rounds 1-5. Hooker, Elephant, Corner is a great start in this draft. The trade alllowing is to pick up a 2nd rd WR is exactly the kind of move I'm hoping they make. Taking a shot at a FQB? Check. Taking a RB2? Check. Lee can be really good in our scheme.

Minor nitpick: I'd like to see us come away with a Fat run stuffer in later rounds. But I'm talking about rd 6-7, so really, my gripe is minimal.

Nice job.

Love the trade down. Hooker at 8 is right and I could be fine with that

I'm not on board with the kupp...I just don't see him as the 40th overall prospect. If zay jones is here that's who I would I'd go after. Bigger, faster, and a great route runner.

Your 3rd rd picks I'm luke warm with...I haven't been a fan of tabor and after that 40 time I'm even less. I'm not trading up for leggett personally, he doesn't really do anything spectacular imo. I'd go in a different direction in the 3rd.

Overall good job 👏🏻

U know I forgot to add a big run stuffing DT. I had Tomlinson to on my mind

This - I'm not sure he's an outside WR at all. He's quicker than fast, has short arms, and can't jump. He's a tough possession receiver, but we're already set at slot WR and could really use a Z WR.
Not down with the Tabor guy, he's a complete jackass, and not good enough to make up for it. Everything else would be great, though a big run stuffing NT would be nice.
