In the event of Browns wanting Trubs at two...

Best case scenario for the niners...Trade R1P2 for R1P12, R2P1 (33), R2P20 (52), R3P1 (65) and 2018 1st round pick.

R1P12: Haason Reddick, SLB
R2P33: Kevin King, CB
R2P34: Zach Cunningham, WLB
R2P52: Carl Lawson, Elephant (Derek Rivers alternate)
R3P65: Marcus Williams, FS (John Johnson alternate)
R3P66: Dorian Johnson, OG
R4P109: Josh Reynolds, WR
R4P143: Blair Brown, MLB
R5P146: Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, 1T
R5P161: Tanzel Smart, DT (Ryan Glasgow alternate)
R6P186: Aaron Jones, RB
R6P202: Joe Williams, RB
R7P219: Darrell Daniels, TE

Remaining glaring needs:
QB, WR1, OT, all looking strong in 2018 class

Fulfilled 3 biggest needs along the DL: outside pass rush from Elephant and SAM position, and big body run stuffer at 1T. Also got more depth for 3T. Great depth along the line of scrimmage now with Lawson, Lynch, Armstead, Smart, Mitchell, Tu'Ikolovatu, Buckner, Blair, Dial, Reddick, Brooks, Harold.

Fulfilled long term need for WLB/MLB. Between Cunningham, Brown, Bowman, Armstrong, Smith, we should be set.

Reid and Tartt fight it out to start at SS, with Ward moving to FS. Williams provides depth for both FS and CB, since he can fill in if Ward needs to go back to CB.

CB is set with Robinson, King, Redmond, Johnson, Reaser

On offense, we've got our RB corps of Hyde, Hightower, Williams, Jones, Juszczyk. Doubled up on RB because A. both prospects have some character concerns, and B. want to completely redo our RB depth chart.

Add Johnson into the mix along the OL.

McDonald is our primary TE, with Paulsen coming in as a run blocker. Daniels can develop into our mismatch nightmare, in the mold of Reed.

WR still needs help, but Reynolds provides an excellent Z.

Potential 2018 draft targets:
Sam Darnold, QB
Martez Ivey, LT
Calvin Ridley, WR
Courtland Sutton, WR
Saquon Barkley, RB
Da'Ron Payne, 1T
Mason Cole, C

Amazing draft. 👍
I can't see the Browns throwing in R2P20, other than that it's a slam dunk draft!
Not bad but so many fans are going Baalke this year...no top QB or WR.

Hmmm...

Hmmm...

I'd much rather build a solid defense before offense, and there's so many plug in pieces in every round.

I don't believe in any of the QBs this year except for trubs, but don't want a qb at 2 overall when there's no pieces around him. With 2 firsts in 2018, were in perfect position for a QB next year if cousins doesn't happen.

As for WR, I think Josh Reynolds can hold his own vs any receiver this year outside of the top 3 or 4. None of the receivers past Williams and Davis are likely to be a true #1, so I went with the value pick, who imo, has tremendous upside.

If cousins works out, id go as follows next year

R1: Calvin Ridley, WR
R1: Martez Ivey, LT
R2: Da'Ron Payne, DT
R3: Mason Cole, C

Yeah, sorry, that was just a general observation overall...kind of ironic. But I certainly get your rationale!

We haven't brought in any top WRs which leads me to believe we won't be going that route unless someone falls

We did look at Corey Davis and Mike Williams but they'd be in the middle of the first...so trade back. I just think it was a bit comical that everyone wanted to get away from a Baalke draft and here we are, all talking about a DT, SS, FS, RB (when we have Hyde), CB, etc.

Sorry adrianlesnar...didn't mean to derail. I genuinely love your draft!
Yea I dont get the SS and DT talk myself.
Love this. Truly do man. Nice smart, value laden draft that tricks out our D day 1.

I just want to suggest that I don't see Reddick as a SAM. I honestly don't have a problem with you mocking 3 LBs, that'd be so funny and awesome to watch them grow.

N my humble opinion, Reddick, at 235, is a Mike/Will in our system - and he'd be a stud. So maybe go with Willis at 34? He'd be a great SAM, sets the edge well, and can pass rush in sub. Or, if you drop Blair, maybe look at Keion Adams or Samson Ekubam as SAMs there. Just my 2cents, fwiw.

Love love the rest of the mock too. 2Fat NTs? Lol hell yeah. I think Marcus would push to start day 1. And with King, our secondary is looking damn nice.

Really nice job.
Would rather double up on WR, not RB. Other than that, very nice mock.

I agree that reddick is a bit undersized, and his frame could be close to maxed out, but I think he only needs to put on 10 lbs, 15 tops and can definitely do that with a NFL strength and conditioning program. I think he offers too much value as a pass rusher off the edge to kick him behind the line of scrimmage full time. I can see them creating blitz packages for him and keeping him in on the line of scrimmage during passing downs. As he gains weight, he can grow into a 3 down SAM.

Heck, depending on bowmans health, maybe bowman and Haason rotate with each other depending on down and distance with bowman playing strong side more in base and reddick more in nickel.

I did try to, however, prioritize LB that can project to any of the 3 spots. If the FO see reddick as the WLB in this defense, then swap out Cunningham for a Bowser or McKinley or Willis. Now, if Corey Davis happened to slide to 34, it's a no brainer who I'm taking at 34, with reddick at WLB on base and at SLB when needed to pin his ears back

Not sure Willis makes it to the tail end of round 2, but id be ecstatic with any of the three.
If the Browns where to give up 12, 33,52 & 65 I wouldn't expect thier First rounder next year. I can see them giving up thier 2nd rounder next year with adding those picks. If we expect a first from them next year we won't be getting both of thier 2nds this year and thier 3rd. It would be #12,33,65 and next year's first leaving out 52.
