FA:
Jimmy Garappolo, QB. 6yr/145mil:
No explanation needed.
Allen Robinson, WR. 1yr/14mil:
Sign to a one year prove it deal to test the explosiveness post ACL. Would be a low risk, high reward signing since we easily have the cap space. Best case scenario is Shanny gets his Andre Johnson. Worst case scenario is we spend a portion of our enormous cap on a 1 year red zone weapon stopgap. The fact that he played a prostyle offense in college, and is only 24 as a 4th year player, he should be able to both step in right away and contribute as a true #1 for a large portion of Garoppolo's tenure.
Ryan Jensen, C. 5yr/42.5mil:
Losing our 2nd round pick in the trade for Garappolo, coupled with our need for an immediate starter and upgrade, means we must buy our center in FA. Ryan Jensen will help reestablish the tough guy culture.
Shaq Barrett, SAM. 4yr/28mil:
If the Broncos don't tender him, he is an absolute must sign priority free agent. Overshadowed by Von Miller and Shane Ray, he has always came up big when asked to step in. 3 down strong side line backer with major pass rush ability. Hopefully, with the Broncos relative lack of cap space, need for a QB, and money already tied up in the position for Miller and Ray, we get a shot at Shaq.
Reggie Nelson, FS. 2yr/5mil:
I'm not sold on our depth at FS at all. Ward, again, can't stay healthy, and, while serviceable, wasn't too impressive in his return to safety anyway. A lack of depth at Nickel CB also, which would force Ward to move over, as well as the lack of veteran depth at FS only makes me more nervous. Reggie Nelson is up there in age, and I believe will be coming out of his 12th NFL season. Could be a solid short term contributor if the Raiders are ready to move on with Joseph and Melinfonwu (they will.)
Eric Reid, S. 3yr/13.5mil:
Can play SS, FS, Nickel Safety, or LB.
Carlos Hyde, RB. 3yr/15mil:
No sense in creating holes where there isn't one, and then using valuable draft capital to fill it when the team is so devoid of talent in other key areas.

Draft:
49ers move down from 10 or 11 to ~26, trading with Jacksonville not at all unlike the move the chiefs made to acquire Mahomes. Jags are so close to having a complete roster and don't risk missing on their FQB in Baker Mayfield. In return, we acquire their 1st, 2nd, 4th, and next year's 1st. (Derrick Brown, DT1T and Joe Jackson, RDE, here we come )

R1: Dallas Goedert, TE
Plenty of names to go after in this spot from Rashaan Evans, LB to Brian O'Niel, OT, to Isaiah Oliver, CB, but I think the need for a 3rd down security blanket and a red zone weapon has made it self abundantly apparent this season, even with Jimmy G. Goedert, Kittle, Robinson, Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor is a hell of a loaded pass catching corps.
R2: Marcus Davenport, DE
Davenport gets first crack at being our LEO of the future. Tremendous size and length with the athleticism to match. Not the fastest or most bendy guy in the world, but people his size should not move the way he does. Solid get off, can convert speed to power, and can shed blocks in the run game.
R2: Jeff Holland, EDGE
Hell of a technician when it comes to rushing the passer. Will create looks for him in situational pass rushing downs.
R3: Desmond Harrison, OT
This one is a bit more projection as there is not much film out on this guy, but from what I have seen, this guy has wheels. Big and strong, but highly athletic with great feet and speed. Converted tight end I believe who should blow up at the senior bowl. He fills a few needs: Staley's eventual replacement, backup tackle so that it doesn't have to be Beadles, and competition at guard until it's his time at tackle.
R3: DJ Moore, WR
This will be Garcon' s replacement in a year or two. Few inches taller and he's a 1st round pick any year.
R4: James Daniels, C/OG
Highly athletic, outside zone caliber prospect. Can compete at guard with Garnett and backup center. Will eventually replace Norwell. Has medical concerns and is slightly undersized, so will be undervalued, luckily for us.
R4: Devron Davis, CB
We need a new starting corner opposite Ahkello, badly. Devron has great size and demeanor, and excells in every facet of what the coaches and scheme ask of our corners.
R5: Michael Joseph, CB
See above.
R6: Kemoko Turay, DE
Marcus Davenport light. Another special physical specimen to try and develop into a LEO of the future.
R7: Khalil Hodge, ILB
Absolute tackle machine.
R7: Frank Ginda, ILB
Another tackle machine, this one from San Jose State.

Interested in Dorance Armstrong Jr. And the thought of Derrick Nnadi as a 3 down 1tech

The thought of a rb corps of Saquon Barkley, Joe Williams, Breida, and Juice
Watching this rams game is making it so hard to even know what positions I want to draft. So many holes! Guard, center, CB, WR, pass rush, safety depth, TE, LB
I like it .... but in draft I'd swap Barkley for Landry or Key

Edit: totally on board with Barkley

I disagree. For now until hide can go one full season we don't have a running back. Number to I'm sick of defensive players every first round it's time to dip into the offense especially when you have a special talent like that
Will be interesting to see how FA shakes out this offseason. If we're able to land Saquon Barkley, Simmie Cobbs Jr., and Dante Pettis, we could have our version of Faulk, Holt, and Bruce. Would require shoring up the OL in FA.
Mata'afa looks like a high 2nd rounder, may get into mid 1st if he keeps it up
Players I'd be happy with in which round or later. Will be updated further into the process. No particular order. Bold are players I like, italics are players with value.

1st: Saquon Barkley, RB. Josh Rossen, QB. Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB.

2nd: Clelin Ferrell, DE. Arden Key, DE. Trey Adams, OT. Mason Cole, C. Martez Ivey, OL. Braden Smith, OG. Calvin Ridley, WR. Simmie Cobbs Jr., WR. Equinimeous St. Brown, WR. Cameron Sutton, WR. Dallas Goedert, TE. Roquon Smith, MLB. Bryce Love, RB. Chukwuma Okorafor, OT. Jeff Holland, EDGE. Isiah Oliver, CB. Llamar Jackson, QB.

3rd: Frank Ragnow, C. Dorance Armstrong, EDGE. Josh Sweat, EDGE. Hercules Mata'afa, SLB. Porter Gustin Jr., SLB. Marquis Haynes, EDGE. Quenton Meeks, CB. Dante Pettis, WR. Auden Tate, WR. Mason Rudolph, QB. Ogbonia Okoronkwo, SLB. T.J. Edwards, MLB.

also liked where you went in the draft. but i believe nelson is a waste of time here. he will take up time for young guys. rather keep reid and tarrt at safeties and have ward man a corner spot
I can see this team being pretty good. Love the dedication to rebuilding the line.

The only problem i have is the WR corps. Pryor just isnt very good. kirk and him still havent built a close relationship on the field. but i guess with that O-line and our RBs, we would be running alot
Post eagles game mock draft:

Move down in round 1, pick up a 2, 3, and a 1st next year.

1st: Quenton Nelson, OG Trey Adams hurt his knee and reports are that he is not going to enter the draft. So I take a guard here instead.

2nd: Chukwuma Okorafor, OT Franchise LT

2nd: Braden Smith, OG Length to spot start at tackle in a pinch, but will start at guard.

2nd: Frank Ragnow, C Daniel Killgore gets pushed to a backup roll.

3rd: Mason Cole, C Daniel Killgore gets pushed off the roster.

3rd: Jamarco Jones, OT Swing T.

3rd: Alex Cappa, OT Developmental OT.
Minkah Fitzpatrick would be an interesting choice because he fits well in secondary:
1. Starts at FS if Ward is injured or if he leaves in free agency after 2018
2. Starts at CB if Ward is extended long term

Tartt-Colbert are the SS. Fitz and Robinson/Witherspoon are the outside CBs, with Donte Johnson probably gone after this season. Williams has already been extended at the slot CB.
