Not sure which of the many mock drafts in this thread that you are referring to, but I will assume the very first one in the OP. For one, I draft 2 edge players and sign one in FA. And two, I did not include any of our lower profile FA that I would resign. Fully intend to keep both Dooms and Marsh.

To OP--

Nice post. I like that in your Dream Off-season you address the edges of our defense and the offensive line. I think we all know we'll want some upgrades in these areas. I think it's critical to get an elite FA Guard and Center, a veteran CB, and an elite Edge Rusher. Our run game sucks right now. On defense, we seem to struggle at getting off the field on 3rd downs. Some help on the edges would be great. I don't really love any of the edge rushers in this draft as immediate answers. I think there is a lot of potential, but if we want to be contenders this year, I expect us to go big in free agency for a LEO. I do think there are some good corners in the draft. I'm not sure it's all that important for us to get a SAM. It seemed like we were in Nickel and pulled Eli Harold out most of the time anyways. I don't think it makes sense to draft or sign an expensive SAM in today's NFL. I could be wrong though, maybe if we had a better SAM we wouldn't have to use Nickel so much? I don't know. Also a FA receiver would be a bonus, but I'm not sure how necessary it would be.

I don't think we'll resign Carlos Hyde. He's too slow for Shanahan's outside zone, and he dropped way too many passes. I like Carlos, I just don't think he's a good fit. If Shanahan was feeling sick about not getting Joe Williams last year, I'm betting he has big plans for him, or at the very least Joe Williams style runners. Ronald Jones II looks like an even better version of Joe Williams to me. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made a move in the early 2nd to get him. Maybe i'm blind, but he looks like he'd be better for us than Saquon Barkley. If they can get some more capable lineman, I think the running game could really take off next year.

I agree with most of your draft picks, and I think it's solid strategy. Again, I would really love it if they drafted Ronald Jones II in the second. I like that you didn't make ILB a huge priority at the beginning of the draft like most Mock drafts. Some good free agency work could really help us with our draft options and let us get the players we want. I would like another Nose Tackle drafted at some point. I think the receivers and corners in the draft look really good. Hopefully we can make some nice trades and work some more magic for another great draft.

However, the biggest dream of all for this off-season would be staying healthy and out of trouble.

I've been sick with the flu and I did hundreds of draft simulations on the first-pick draft game thing. Probably a waste of time, but kind of fun. This was probably the best one so far. I traded away the 2018 and 2019 First Round Picks as well, because why not. The trades and picks might be unrealistic and stupid, but after last years "fleecing" of the Bears and the fall of Foster, anything could happen. Right?

Round 1 Pick 11 (MIA): Bradley Chubb, DE, North Carolina State (A+)
Round 1 Pick 16 (BALT): Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa (A+)
Round 1 Pick 17 (LAC): Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 2 Pick 10 (MIA): Christian Kirk, WR, Texas AM (A)
Round 2 Pick 27: Ronald Jones II, RB, Southern California (A)
Round 3 Pick 12 (G.B.): Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, Western Michigan (A+)
Round 3 Pick 28 (PITT): Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 8 (T.B.): Kevin Toliver II, CB, LSU (A+)
Round 4 Pick 14 (G.B.): Michael Gallup, WR, Colorado State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 28: Isaiah Wynn, OG, Georgia (A+)
Round 7 Pick 9: Fred Warner, OLB, Brigham Young (A+)
Round 7 Pick 22: Du'Vonta Lampkin, DT, Oklahoma (A+)

Not so sure about the accuracy of a simulator that gives me Bradley Chubb even after I trade down 2 spots to 11. It could happen, right?

Well, after a productive Free Agency Period ...

Jimmy Garoppolo
Allen Robinson
Andrew Norwell
Weston Richburg
Ziggy Ansah
EJ Gaines
Brock Coyle
Eric Reid - cheap because teams don't want to deal with protest stuff.
Restructure Jimmie Wards contract

Bro, Stevie, I got the flu. Don't be wrecking my dreams while I'm in this condition. This is the 2018 off season dream thread is it not?

Unreal how you're available to identify some of the top players early before they even enter the NFL, adrian.

Veryyyy similar to what Id do, depending on FA of course..

They got:
1: Quenton Nelson, OG
2: Malik Jefferson, WLB
3: Jeff Holland, ER
3: Michael Gallup, WR
4: Isaac Yiadom, CB
5: Kemoko Turray, ER
6: Tyler Conklin, TE
7: Quadree Henderson, WR/KR
7: Jamil Denny, OT

Sticking to their theme, but with my changes:

1: Quenton Nelson, OG
2: D.J. Moore, WR
3: Jeff Holland, ER
3: Darius Leonard, WLB (Mark Walton, RB is tempting here)
4: Isaac Yiadom, CB
5: Kemoko Turray, ER
6: Tyler Conklin, TE
7: Darius Phillips, CB/KR/PR
7: Jamil Denny, OT
