Team free agents
This is assuming that McDonald and the rest of the 2016 TEs are cut or traded before this season.
1. Ward FS already picked up his 2018 option if he stays healthy and plays up to his ability he should stick through the 2018 season if not we can cut him his cap number is over 8 million for 2018. He's going to have to be great to play at that number!
2. Malcom Smith OLB looking like a bad signing now but we don't save any money by cutting him until the 3rd year of the deal so he stays.
3. Zane beedles OG cut cap number 4 million and we save 3.5 by cutting him.
4. Q. Dial DT cut and save 2 million. To much for a 2/3 stringer.
5. Matt Barkley QB We either sign cousins or Draft a rookie so there is no spot for him. We save almost 2 million.
6. Hyde rushes for 1000 yards but we still let him walk.
Free Agents
Cousins resigns with Washington.
1. Number 1 Wr. Pick between Davante Adams GB, Jordan Mathews PHili, Allen Robinson Jags or Terrell Pryor Wash. My top choice is Adams GB can't put all of its money at the Wr position. It will take about a 5yr/62 mil to get it done.
2. Vontaze Burflict OLB Cincinnati to replace Brooks.
Draft
I'm assuming we will be drafting between 5-12 next year but I could be off either way we should be able to get one of the 1st round QBs I'm projecting 6 or 7 to go in round 1! But Our coach could fall in love with a backup QB at southwest Tennessee state for all we know.
1 we aren't getting number 1 the way the jets are tanking so let's assume Darnold goes 1 and Rosen 2 and we have no shot at them. Our realistic QB possibilities will probadly be between Josh Allen or Mason Rudolf in round 1 or Jake Browning, Luke Falk or Baker Mayfield in round 2!
So I'm taking Allen in round 1 because he plays in a semi-pro offense!
Round 1 Pick 9 Josh Allen QB might have to move up to get him.
Round 2 Pick 9 Conner Williams OT this will be a deep draft on lineman.
Round 2 Pick 12 Quenton Nelson OG not sold on Garnett learning to zone block!
Round 3 Pick 2 Billy Price OC/OG we need depth and eventual replacements all along our line.
Round 3 Pick 9 Donte Booker OLB fastest LB at OSU eventual replacement for Bowman.
Round 5 Pick 9 Taylor Hearn OG we rebuild our line with one draft.
Round 6 Pick 9 Van Smith Ss Clemson
Round 7 Pick 9 the best kicker available

I wouldn't pay Adams $12M a year.
I like Josh Allen, but I'm not convinced Shanahan will.
Conner Williams will likely go in the top 10, imo.
I agree that the Jets have #1 locked up, and they'll certainly go QB. Cleveland looks to have the inside track on #2, but I'd be surprised if they took a QB at 2 after all the positive press they've pushed out on Kizer. They'd be a trade target for someone looking to move up for a FQB, imo.

As an addendum, if Allen progresses enough in his skillset to be a QB Shanahan would want, he'd easily be the top QB in the class. His talent, combined with disciplined footwork, sophistication in reading defenses, quick/correct decision making, calm/courage in the pocket, and good ball placement for YAC would be a #1 pick at QB all the way. He's more potential than production so far, but it's a LOT of potential. He has similar talent to Mahomes, with about 4 more inches of height.

Which one do you think is garbage?
Either way, you're wrong.

Won't matter Shannahan will either decide Beatherd is his QB of the future or fall in love with a guy no one is thinking about. I think it's more likely we take someone like Browning, Falk or Mayfield in later rounds than take a QB in round 1! My top choice in round 1 is Barkley and then hit the line with the next 3 or 4 picks! Deep tackle year next season.
