Another one of those way too early mock offseasons

In Free Agency, we get our franchise QB in Kirk Cousins. Plus Buffalo moves up to draft a QB, we get their two firsts to fill additional holes on the team and accumulate more talent.

SF 1st - traded to Buffalo
BUF 1st - Derwin James, FS, Florida State
BUF 1st - Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
SF 2nd - Martez Ivey, OT/OG, Florida
NO 2nd (2017 draft day trade) – Mason Cole, OG/OC, Michigan
SF 3rd - Matthew Thomas, OLB, Florida State
CHI 3rd (2017 draft day trade) – Simmie Cobbs Jr., WR, Indiana
PIT 4th (Vance McDonald trade) – Jamar Summers, CB/S, Connecticut
SF 6th - Brandon Facyson, CB, Virginia Tech
SF 7th - Andrew Vollert, TE, Weber State
KC 7th (Kenneth Acker trade) – Nick Wilson, RB, Arizona

We get a QB. We get additional weapons on offense, specifically some larger targets at WR to complement are smaller shiftier WRs. We solidify our offensive line and add a potential LT of the future. And we add some more depth on defense.
I love James and Coke. I'm assuming your letting Reid walk which they may but if he plays as well in the regular season as he did in pre season I don't think they would. James isn't a single high Safety he should be used in the box and used as a blitzer. Oh and I don't know if we have much worst of a record as the Bills.
I'd take Minkah Fitzpatrick over James and be happy with the rest
Why would Buffalo give up so much for a QB with Tyros playing really well.
what number are we drafting at?

Guard was too early. Tomlinson and Garnett will be hard to beat out

I'm sorry I am laughing at the fact that you want to draft a guard / tackle first. I guarantee you he's not beating out Garnett I guarantee you he's not beating out Staley I guarantee you he's not beating out Brown. And he's probably not beating out Tomlinson. Your first pic is supposed to be an instant starter. It's pretty much a waste if he's not.

Derwin James and Courtland Sutton are not guards/tackles so I don't know where that last sentence is coming from...

And Garnett and Tomlinson haven't shown anything to make me think they're entrenched starters. We could definitely upgrade over Tomlinson and it's absurd to guarantee that a rookie wouldn't beat out Garnett who is nothing more than a below average starter at this point even when he's healthy (he's out for the season).

I'm all for adding talent on the interior of our offensive line and drafting a guy who could rotate at guard and eventually replace Staley at LT (who knows how long he'll keep playing). Brown is a cornerstone on offense, but we'll need other players to build around.

free safety????? Tarrt Reid and jerome are way better than fine lol. We have no need for a free safety. Dont forget ward, who should be a corner

Reid's a FA after this year. Jerome was cut.
I like it. Wish i could see your FA acquisitions outside of Cousins.

Throw in Trumaine Johnson and Ziggy Ansah/Demarcus Lawrence...wow!

Can Derwin James play FS? thought he was more of a SS box type
Regarding Derwin James, when I initially did this mock, we weren't too deep into the college football season and I had been reading a lot about how Derwin James played as a freshman. He was versatile and extremely athletic for someone his size. He could play in the box and in coverage he had the speed to cover a lot of ground. But it seems that this year, after his knee injury, he has lost that playmaking ability and Florida State is using him solely as an in the box strong safety. So, I would definitely go with Minkah Fitzpatrick over him now because we need a free safety.

As for free agents Justin, I haven't given much thought to it yet. Trumaine Johnson is interesting. Cornerback is definitely a need but he hasn't played all that well this year for the money he gets.

Don't fall for the Fitzpatrick illusion. And we don't need a 1st round Safety. In general
