Trade Down Scenarios + Mock

As we start to narrow in on a top 2 pick this year, I was having some fun with different trade down scenarios looking at the value chart. Obviously, this will all change once we know the final draft order, but I like the idea of trying to do two different trade downs:

Trade 1
#2 Overall Pick
FOR
#6 Overall Pick
#38 Overall Pick
2019 2nd Rounder

That gets us our high 2nd rounder back, as well as a pick next year, and would allow us to still draft a premium non-quarterback. That said, I would even be opened to another trade back:

Trade 2
#6 Overall Pick
FOR
#13 Overall Pick
#45 Overall Pick

I'd personally like to see us draft either an O-lineman or a WR in the first round, and pick 13 feels like a great spot to be given what the current big board looks like. There is also pretty decent depth into the 2nd round, and we would have 3 picks there, along with 2 early 3rd rounders. Here are the picks we would have, along with a quick mock. I'm using the NFL Draft Scout big board to

Round 1, Pick 13 – Calvin Ridley WR
Round 2, Pick 6 – Josh Sweat LEO / SAM
Round 2, Pick 13 – Martez Ivey OG / OT
Round 2, Pick 30 – Ronald Jones II RB
Round 3, Pick 2 – Mason Cole C
Round 3, Pick 10 – Lorenzo Carter SAM / LEO
Round 4, Pick 31– Jordan Thomas CB
Round 5, Pick 12 – Auden Tate WR
Round 6, Pick 2 – Micah Kiser ILB
Round 7, Pick 2 – Matthew Thomas OLB
Round 7, Pick 27 – Adam Breneman TE
I enjoy first-pick.com draft boners just as much as the next guy.
Im agAinst two trade downs with all the cap we got. We dont need crazy quantity. We need elite quality...hopefully FA allows us to do that.

Depends on the spots. Lots of guys who could help this team but may not go super early due to the position they play. But not another Rashaun Woods situation please...
Just me, but it seems like Lynch got more, or as much, in return from the Bears moving down just one spot.
Here's my draft boner draft

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 6 (CINN): Minkah Fitzpatrick, FS/CB, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 6 (CINN): Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 3 Pick 5 (IND): Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 3 Pick 9: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford (A)
Round 3 Pick 10 (DEN): Mason Cole, C/OT, Michigan (A+)
Round 4 Pick 5 (IND): Simmie Cobbs Jr., WR, Indiana (A+)
Round 4 Pick 7 (HOU): Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma (A)
Round 4 Pick 10 (DEN): Duke Dawson, CB, Florida (A+)
Round 4 Pick 27: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 7 (HOU): Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (A+)
They need to fix their rankings (it is a long ways before the draft to be fair though). Was trying to trade up for Bryce Love at the end of the 3rd round. Colts picks turned into Barkley, Nelson, and Rudolph.

Your score is: 21075 (GRADE: A+)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 5 (IND): Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State (A)
Round 2 Pick 5 (IND): Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame (A)
Round 2 Pick 31: Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma (A)
Round 3 Pick 1: Malik Jefferson, ILB, Texas (A+)
Round 3 Pick 5 (IND): Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State (A)
Round 3 Pick 9: James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 27: Jordan Thomas, CB, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 5 Pick 13: Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn (A+)
Round 6 Pick 1: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama (A)
Round 7 Pick 1: Johnny Townsend, P, Florida (A+)
Round 7 Pick 25: Cody Thompson, WR, Toledo (A+)
So why is Cincinnati trading up?
I doubt Lynch will find another trading partner willing to give up as much as the Bears did...if he can great, but surely can't count on it. Still, if he's in the no. 2 position again, things could get interesting. No matter what he does, I'd be in favor of him finding 2 starting OL in FA, not the draft. The FA pool is pretty strong with interior OL, thankfully. Not a good FA period for OT's, unfortunately. The FA's I'm talking about are @ 25 yrs old, not anyone approaching his 30's. He can get a good OT and OG/C in the draft to develop, not start. I'd think both Shanahan & Jimmy G would appreciate him playing behind a good veteran OL vice a couple of rookie starters. Garnett will be ready to rumble in 2018, so our OL could go from pretty bad to pretty good.

True, they would need to give up a little more to trade up to #2

If there's a FQB with the top two pick, you better believe teams would give more than two 2nd round draft picks to move up...

Have you seen this team's history? They have been the most injury prone team i have ever seen.

If this draft came true, I would cum all over myself.

True but thats how we lost on Wilfork. Just seems like an easy way to f**k up lol. Just risky in our position IMO. One trade down im cool with but nothing drastic.

See my post above holmes
We need to draft 4 OL. Yes 4. Odds are you will be lucky if you hit on half of your top picks.
