Jets 2nd rd, 4th, and 6th to move back into 1st

2018 NFL Draft

Rd 1 G out of ND Quenton Nelson, starter day 1, new revamped oline of Staley-Garnett or Tomlinson-Linsley-Nelson-Brown..

Rd 1 LB out of Texas Malik Jefferson, having 2 young fast strong tackling machines who can blitz and cover will improve this D, Foster and Jefferson will look amazing next to each other..

Rd 2 DE out of Kentucky Josh Allen, this kids canrush the passer, will be in the Aldon roll his 1st year while getting stronger abd learning but I think he has a future..

RD 3 WR out of FSU Auden Tate, falls to the 3rd bc of QB play and not a fast 40 but the good thing is with Garcon and Robinsonthis kid isn't forced into action, hopefully Garçons future replacement

Rd 3 OT out of Louisville Geron Christian, nice swing tackle who can learn and improve and hopefully take over for Staley in the future

Rd 5 CB/S out of USF Deatrick Nicols, this kid is tough, actually reminds me of The kid that's out of FSU playing S for the Rams, I forget his name..but same build, a ball hawk and great in the run game..can play either S or CB..great talent here..

Rd 7 K out of Auburn Daniel Carlson, big leg and clutch, time for some young blood to grow with this young team..

Nice mock
The 49ers already have a fast coverage LB to place at Will next to Foster. Malcolm Smith was a stud in this scheme in Seattle. His rep took a hit when he played out of position for the Raiders, but all the beat writers were on his nuts in TC. I'd stay put at the Jets pick and grab Hercules Mata'afa, go WR with the Saints 2nd, and use the picks you keep by not trading back into the first to take a couple more swings at OL help.

Good stuff overall, and I'd be pumped if they pulled off that trade with the Jets.

I've never been a fan of Malcolm Smith honestly and in all honesty hated the contract the niners gave him, but I'd be shocked if the niners don't draft anothe LB to challenge him to play next to Foster..I just love the idea of Foster and Jefferson growing together for years..and I agree the jets trade would be great, I've been saying this, it's great that there are a lot of QB hungry teams the niners could trade with and I'd expect Lynch to get a huge return..

Gotta hope the QB hype train gets rolling.
Why resign tank all he does is sit on tha IR waste of money no thanks ...

Dont wanna resign Hyde he cant stay healthy and dances way to much gave 10 yards lose 10 yards daning no thanks ...

Not sure about Breeland someone on here said all he's good for is a slot CB ...I'd rather go after K.Fuller frm tha bears Fuller has been stepping up lately ...

Malik Jefferson h*ll no read he's not a 100% into football dont need another quieter...

Luv tha Nelson pick 👍👍👍

I can see your point on Tank but I really want to see how he fits in this scheme..

Hyde is playing very good in this scheme and getting better every week, he's only going to get better with more time and better oline

I'm cool with either of Breeland or Colvin, Fuller is a nice player too so that's not a bad choice

Where did you real Jefferson isn't committed to football ? He plays like his hair is on fire every play..

And yes Nelson would be a great pick..

Jefferson has 54 tackles with six tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks in 2017. Sources have said that teams are hearing that Jefferson doesn't have a real love for football. That is illustrated in him not producing up to his great skill set along with offseason training according to league contacts

Part of a scouting report from Walter football site ...
A guard early goes against conventional wisdom but it is such a huge need and the argument is that Nelson has pro bowl written all over him, so I agree that he is the target. Good mock.

Thanks and yes I also believe Nelson is going to be a great player for a long time

I love your draft. The only statements I disagreed with what signing ried to compete with tartt and colbert.

Ward is our worst safety. Why do people insist on having him stay at free safety he was a good corner. I like signing Ried. I'd rather have a rotation of those three and have Ward at corner. Tarrt is a beast and needs to be on the field at all times

Are used to agree with you 100% about Carlos Hyde. But guess what he's played the whole season so far. And breida is not the answer

Thanks and I agree about Tartt, as for Ward it's hard to say he's the worst safety when he literally had what 6 games to show, but yes he's a good CB, so therefor I wouldn't be opposed to moving him back to CB, I'm all for Breeland, Ahkello, Ward, Williams, DJ and a Rookie being the future CBs..
Nice mock except for the trade back into the first and the signing of Breeland as our new #1 CB. I would rather keep the picks and have the additional bodies to compete with the guys we already have. If we keep the picks, taking someone like Denzel Ward Ohio State, Kevin Toliver LSU or Josh Jackson Iowa would be a possibility in the 2nd. I think that would be a better use of the money rather than paying Breeland big dollars.

Like how you addressed all the areas of need - OL, CB and pass rush. Well done!
