I like this mock. Big fan of Nelson and Watts would be a great addition as a FS in this defense. I'm not sold on Teuhema as a 2nd round prospect (nfldraftscout lists him as a likely undrafted FA and WalterFootball has him in the 3rd or 4th round). Those are good stats, but not great for an NFL prospect playing that level of competition. I like Gallup a lot and think he'll be successful in the NFL, but he may be too similar to Pierre Garçon. We already have a tough 6'0-6'1 WR who can make contested catches and run routes across the middle of the field. Thomas would be a good pickup at TE if he falls that far.

we have 0 need for a safety. especially in the second. We need to resign reid. Then we hav reid tartt, and colbert. ward can be bacvk up at safety and corner. gewt james washington in the second. This team hasnt drafted an early reciever or rb in years! we have spent all early rounds on D. especially last year.

Garcon is our #1
Goodwin is leading the league in YPC
Taylor is locked in at the slot
Bourne and Boldin have potential
That's 5 guys locked in to spots. I drafted a guy in the 3rd.
Where would another receiver play??
james washington would take a spot. We need to give jimmy weapons!!!!! goodwin is decent not a legit two

When I first read this mock I didn't like picking Nelson that high. After reading a number of draft perspectives about him I've warmed to the idea. He may be one of those guys you can lock into the OL for ten years starting him as a rookie. Still not sure a Shanahan will draft OL in the first round, other than a LT, but Nelson may be the best player in the draft. He and Barkley seem to be men among boys. Any other top prospects that are on that level?
Edit: I do like your picks in general and particularly Teuhema and Gallop...not just for announcers to say, "...and he Gallops into the endzone!"

I don't see 49ers giving Hyde that contract hasn't been health for an entire year ever! Now it's his contract year no thanks Saquon Barkley over all those players you drafted in place of our pick and
second round get a DE,
3rd round OG
3rd. Round cb
4th. Round C
4th round ILB move Foster to OlB where he can do a lot more.
Marsh is gone garbage I'd rather have carradine. I agree we need a DE
our corners FA, Witherspoon, Johnson, rookie and williams
Safety Tartt, Colbert, Rookie and Ward can play Fs/CB/Slot Cb
FA og, c, wr, De, ILB CB
Johnson flat out stinks. He is one of the worst graded corners in the league.

- Tartt is a SS
- Reid has been playing linebacker and probably wont be back. I think the league blackballs him because of his protest stance
- Ward did literally NOTHING when he played and is always hurt. Move him back to corner where he was much better but even then I wouldn't expect him to do much and the team won't be relying on him.
- Colbert flashed in one game. ONE GAME. He is a good piece to have but let's not get carried away.
This scheme is nothing without a proper FS patrolling centerfield and Armani Watts is as close to Earl Watson as it gets.

It has been reported over and over again he has the athleticism to play free safety. And what about colbert. An ward can play backup safety. It's worth it to keep Reid. Tart play better at free safety then Jimmy Ward dreamed of. And yes he lined up plenty at free safety

. I would actually say that tart is a freak of nature. And has extreme athleticism to play the free safety. And we need a wide receiver weigh more. I would definitely go James Washington right thereOriginally posted by fan49:It has been reported over and over again he has the athleticism to play free safety. And what about colbert.
