Draft Mock and Offseason

Free Agent Signings

WR- Allen Robinson
6'3" 220
Injury is a question mark, but this guy could take our offense to the moon if he returns to form.

C- Ryan Jensen

LG - Andrew Norwell

TE - Trey Burton - super underrated player, has good speed and quickness and has produced every time Zach Ertz was out with injury. I think he does well in this system.

CB - Trumaine Johnson

Re-signed Players

1) Carlos Hyde - Say what you want about him, but he gets the job done and runs hard despite a line that is porous. No reason to let talent go away.
2) Jimmy G - no brainer
3) Eric Reid - He leaves and our secondary gets worse. He's a great leader and locker room guy that comes to work and does not complain.
4) Marquise Goodwin - Big priority. He keeps the defense honest and has come into his own this season after going through so much personally. Love him.
5) Jaquiski Tartt - Was playing great ball before he was injured.
6) Jimmy Ward - Keep him around and let him prove himself. This secondary can play. With a better from 7, I think all these guys shine. (May have to cut him for cap reasons tho)
7) Eli Harold - Let's see how he continues to develop

Cuts
Beadles, Kilgore, Fusco...goodbye, trash.
Dontae Johnson.....goodbye
Arik Armstead - trade him, he doesn't fit the scheme and is far too slow to play LEO

Draft Picks

Round 1: Roquan Smith,UGA pick 9, we longer will have the choice of Barkley or Nelson, thus leaving us to take a need and also BPA. Smith and Foster solidify our LB for the next 8 seasons or so. ff

Round 2: Dorance Armstrong, Edge, KSU

Round 3: Wyatt Teller, G, VT

Round 3: Devron Davis, CB, UTSA

Round 4: Sony Michel, RB, UGA

Round 5: Christian Kirk, WR, TXAM (Not sure if he goes this late, but his stock is all over the place)

Round 6: Dre'mont Jones, DL, OSU

Round 7: Larry Allen Jr., OL, Harvard (His father's a 9er legend)

That FA haul will be financially possible.
Would love that FA pick ups
This mock would be about as good as it gets. Great job
Id keep Kilgore and Fusco as depth..other than that nice job
Your FA and resigning is somewhat unrealistic IMO

just looking at the new signings (and what I think they might get paid):

Johnson- Stephon Gilmore got $65 million last yr, I think that's a comparable deal
Jensen-Corey Linsley just got a $25 million dollar deal
Norwell-I can see him getting Kyle Long money ($40 million)
Burton- CJ Fiedorowicz just got $21 million I can see him getting that at the very minimum.
Allen Robinson-this is a tricky one but I can see a 1-yr prove it deal like Jeffery got ($14 million)

That's like $165 million in new contracts....and that's not even including your extensions (Jimmy G gonna get paid)

I love the guys you targeted in FA and in the draft just don't see that happening

I see them spending 250-350 million.... but as mentioned the 165 million would represent about 50 million in cap space. Add jimmy, hyde, Reid, some backups, the rookies and we'd still be WAY under the cap. We could give 165 million to 2 players. If we sign a top CB, WR, DE, OG....it's gonna cost money. This is the year we spend it. By comparison we spent 50 on Garcon, 25 on Juice, and near 100 total last off-season. I've seen us having anywhere from 110 million to 130 in space.....

We can get 3-4 guys in the 10 million range, franchise or sign jimmy longterm, and resign our free agents and be just fine. Relax. If we don't spend it this year, it rolls. But we gotta spend it at some point.

I do not see them spending that type of cash in one off season. I do not see them extending Ward/Reid/Hyde/Tarrt/Harold either.

Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to blow it all in one shot....Lynch/Shanny even stated this yesterday in the end of the yr press-conference. I expect them to be somewhat aggressive for players, but not over spend for everyone. Gotta remember there are 31 other teams trying to sign players as well.

the new cap cycle started last off season I believe, so there's plenty of time to burn that money.

Agree with this. I also don't think there's a chance Kirk is available for our 3rd round pick let alone a 5th round pick. I've seen his draft stock fluctuate from 1st round to 3rd round, but ultimately expect him to go early late first/early 2nd. He's 21 years old (almost 2 full years younger than Ridley) and one of it not the most explosive WRs in the draft. He reminds me of a faster Golden Tate and it wouldn't surprise me if he's the 2nd WR taken after Sutton.

Other than that, I like the mock and the players you've targeted. I like bringing in Teller to probably win the other guard position over Garnett since I'm not counting on Garnett being any good.

Yeah I saw that, I've always like Kirk and like you said I can't see how he drops to the 5th rd at all.

I like the guys that Dillesq targeted just don't see it happening.

A lot can happen though
