MBA's post Bowl season mock ver 2.0

After a great season ending run and the college bowl season almost over, here is my revised mock based on Matt Miller's Bleacher Report prospect rankings:

Round 1 Pick 9 Calvin Ridley WR Alabama - would love Quentin Nelson, but Colts get smart to protect Luck. Need skill players
Round 2 Pick 59 from New Orleans Braden Smith OG Auburn- need to keep Jimmy G upright; can also play OT
Round 3 Pick 70 Sony Michel RB Georgia - new running mate or replacement for Carlos Hyde depending on how free agency turns out
Round 3 Pick 74 Jaire Alexander CB Louisville - rough year with misc injuries this year so drops a little; add to our young secondary
Round 4 Pick 132 from Pittsburg Marcell Ateman WR Oklahoma State - bigger WR who can also stretch the field
Round 5 Pick 145 Tyler Conklin TE Central Michigan - TE competition for Paulsen and Hikutini
Round 6 Pick 188 Justin Lawler EDGE SMU - 9.5 sacks this year and 3 blocked kicks
Round 7 Pick 228 Azeem Victor LB Washington - this year's Malik McDowell; talented but troubled
Round 7 Pick 245 Isaiah Wynn G Georgia - G/T swing Man; potential PS player

Free agency: I expect the Niners to pursue the following free agents

OL Ryan Jensen C, Andrew Norwell OG, Josh Kline OG, Justin Pugh OG, Weston Richburg C, Matt Paradis C
CB Trumaine Johnson, Prince Amukamura, Malcolm Butler and Pierre Desir
WR Allen Robinson, Sammy Watkins, Taylor Gabriel
DL Star Lotuleilei DT, Justin Ellis DT, Ziggy Ansah DE
OLB Jerry Attaochu, OLB Trent Murphy

Re-Sign
Garoppolo, Reid, Coyle, Marsh, Fusco, Kilgore

Release or Signing Elsewhere

Has Miller released a full draft board in the past 2 months? I've only seen his pre-bowl game top 32 which I can't imagine basing a mock on.

I've seen Ateman in the 1st or 2nd round in most mocks so I'm not sure he'll be there in the 4th round (maybe Miller is really down on him).

#9 seems way too high to draft Ridley. If he's the guy we're targeting, I think we have to trade down and take our chances he's still there. There are a lot of very good WRs who will be available in rounds 2-3 who aren't much of a drop-off from Ridley which should push him towards the middle/end of round 1. He's ~6' 185 with small hands and isn't physical at all or a threat to win jump balls/contested catches. He runs great routes and has good speed and quickness, but you don't draft Emmanuel Sanders in the top 10.

I really like Smith, Michel, and Alexander and the players you're targeting in free agency. Hadn't thought about adding a big time DT like Lotulelei, but that could be a possibility, especially if we miss out on some of the other big name free agents.

Apparently he has one that is loaded in the Fanspeak.com draft simulator. That plus the Fanspeak team needs. It is what I used to come up with this mock.

Your draft is perfect but honestly most the picks will be taken earlier or way earlier then you have, I see almost every pick from the late 3rd on a round shared as of now..

At first I was all like meh. Then I got to Jaire f**king Alexander and then I was like best draft ever.

I like it but if we dont land a pass rusher in FA we certainly gotta tsrget one somewhat early in the draft.

This is the second draft I have done and the same comments have come up. Guess it would be better to wait until the Combine at the minimum where the draft prospect rankings get more accurate.

its a great mock draft and if it came true id go crazy, I think every ones mock is hopeful wishing as in players being available, like you said we all really don't know where players will go until the bowl games and combine but its fun to guess, thanks for your mock I enjoyed it, you have the niners taking my 2 fav WRs in the draft lol yup id go crazy..

Yup today, no work, cold as f**k, bored, all equal to a new mock lol

After Alvin Kamara blew up I just don't see Sonny making ot the 3rd round. Somebody gonna grab him in the 2nd.
