Trying out different scenarios and trades..
Resign/Extend
Jimmy G 5 years 125 Million
Carlos Hyde 4 years 20 Million
Brandon Fusco 1 year 4 Million
Eric Reid 3 years 12 Million
Brock Coyle 2 yrs 4 Million
Jimmy Ward 4 years 16 million
Marquise Goodwin 4 years 24 Million
Free Agency
G Andrew Norwell 5 years 50 Million
DE Demarcus Lawrence 5 60 Million
TE Niles Paul 2 years 5 Million
NFL Trades
Arik Armstead to Pittsburgh for Martavis Bryant- my thoughts are Armstead is back at his natural position and gets to learn from a great vet in Heyward..Bryant wont be resigned so Pittsburgh thinks of the defense future when they need to cut 1 of Heyward or Tuitt..Armstead fits right in
49ers trade their 9th overall pick to Buffalo for their two 1st round picks and a 3rd, they want their future QB..Roquan and Nelson are gone in this mock or id never trade back
49ers trade Buffalos 1st and their 3rd and 7th to move up to 7 spots
49ers trade their Saints 2nd rd pick and the Jets 5th to move up 10 spots in the 2nd round
2018 NFL DRAFT
Round 1 pick 16- CB out of Iowa Joshua Jackson- this kid is a future star in this defense, hes a ball hawk who actually catches the ball for a DB..A duo of him and WItherspoon with Williams or Ward sounds great for years.
Round 1 pick 27- LB out of Texas Malik Jefferson- hes my 2nd fav LB behind Roquan, his and Foster together will not be as amazing as Roquan and Foster but they will cause havoc..im not buying he doesn't have love for the game, especially if Lynch selects him there is no way that's the case..
Round 2 pick 50- C out of Arkansas Frank Ragnow- signed a stud G in Norwell and now have our starting C day 1, a line of Staley-Norwell-Ragnow-Garnett or Fusco-Brown is a nice start, way better then last year..have to protect our stud QB and ill put money on Hyde running crazy witht his being his best O-Line hes running behind as a starter..
Round 3-WR out of OK State Marcell Ateman, I think he goes higher but I'm putting him early in the 3rd, hes a future replacement for Garcon or insurance for Bryant lol regardless I see him as a beast and future starter who picks on DBs in the redzone
Round 3-LB out of Georgia Lorenzo Carter, pushes Harold at the Sam, and I think beats him out asap..LB core or Jefferson-Foster-Carter with Coyle-Smith-Harold at depth is fixed in my eyes, kick Thomas on the inside on passing downs and have Lawrence-Thomas-Buckner-Carter rushing the passer..
Round 4-OT out of OK State Zachary Crabtree, ill be a perfect swing tackle and possible Staley replacement
Round 6-CB out of South Carolina Jamarcus King Nice depth with good size and speed
Round 7- DT out of Clemson Scott Pagano,Depth
Roster
Jimmy G-Beathard
Hyde-Brieda-Williams
Juice
Kittle-Paul-Celek
Garcon-Bryant-Goodwin-Taylor-Ateman

Garnett-Fusco

Lawrence-Dumervil
Mitchell-Jones
Buckner-Pagano
Thomas-Blair
Harold-Carter
Foster-Coyle

I thnk you're underestimating Eric Reid's future deal. 3 years and 4M/yr seems very low. Especially when you have the same per year for Ward and more years.

The Buffalo trade is lopsided.
We would probably have to throw in a 4th to get their two 1st's.
No chance we get a 3rd as well.

You might be correct but both being injury prone should get paid around the same and the fact Ward can play safety and cb he could be paid more..

I remember last year with Chicago and if a trade is for a QB like Shanahan said the price goes up..i can see Buffalo paying a steep price thinking other teams will trade up for their guy..niners have all the leverage in any trade so they can play hard ball and receive more value then they give..

Hyde, Reid and Ward are part of the old regime. I doubt any of the 3 will be back.
5/60 is not nearly enough for Lawrence. It will take at least 17-20 mil per year MINIMUM to sign a guy who just had 15 sacks and is the premier pass rusher available.
Olivier Vernon got 5/85 or 17 mil per. I think you are dreaming if you think Lawrence gets anything less than 5/100 and I highly doubt we are the team to give him that.
Sign a CB like Trumaine Johnson who fits our D perfectly and draft an edge rusher.

I think all 3 have a great chance to be back honestly, I'll agree with Lawrence, as I was doing the mock I was trying to figure out a number on him, Idk if I'm down with giving him that much lol I'm not crazy about Trumaine Johnson, I'd rather draft Jackson who I think will be great in this D and draft a late round DB for depth, possibly sign a vet to a 1 year deal too..

I mean this would be wild lol. I can't that trade happening unless we gave up something in return.
love the trade of AA for Bryant. Lawrence is gonna at the very least get tagged by Dallas IMO...ziggy seems more likely.

Yeah it would be crazy I agree, on the trade chart giving up the 9th overall pick for say the 24th and 28th is about even, with the 3rd round pick I have them throwing in is what makes it go over 200 points..and yeah I was looking for a trade partner who could actually use him with the future in mind, he has no place here so and Bryant would be a nice addition..as for Lawrence I'm not cool with throwing all that money to him so I'd take Ansah for cheaper..

I have us drafting 10th (cause we might be) and I have the bills drafting 22nd cause imo they will lose this weekend. It's a difference of 520 pts and the 28th pick is worth 660 pts alone unless I'm looking at it wrong?
Yeah ansah will be a lot cheaper, he's got health issues and is actually old (think he's gonna be 30).
I'm on the bandwagon to draft an edge guy (or two) this draft is chalk full of guys.

im looking at us drafting 9th which is 1350 and trading for the 22nd pick which is780 and the 28th pick which is 660 so that's 1440 together, only 90 more then the 9th pick, I added a late 3rd which is worth around 140, so take that 3rd away and its only 90 points more favoring the niners..id draft a pass rusher but I'm unsure who, I like Landry and Chubb, not sold on Key, and I'm not sure anyone else is worth a top 10 pick, the Davenport kid is catching a lot of buzz but I'm lost on him bc I know nothing about him lol

Overall, a great job. I usually don't buy into the multiple trade ideas, but I think you're right about the Buffalo trade. Making that trade, getting a premium for the chance to get a QB and ending up with Jackson/Jefferson would be awesome.
We apparently like some of the same prospects so I like the draft overall.
In regards to free agency, I don't think we will get that lucky to net D. Lawrence for that little money. However, you are right about the trio of Hyde, Reid and Ward. Hyde may leave for a bigger, better deal but he has earned the right to stay. Both he and Reid should definitely get some play from the Seahawks because they fit their needs better than the Niners needs. Ward is already under contract but I wouldn't extend him just yet. Good calls on Norwood, Bryant and Paul. Nice work.

Thanks, yeah I think if buffalo wants a chance to get their guy they will have pay a steep price to do so, and you're right about Lawrence, but I'm not willing to pay as much as he will get, as for Ward I'd either extend him or cut him bc he's not worth that 8 million dollar price for 1 year, I love his versatility and depth for positions bc it frees up a roster spot..and when healthy he's a good player..
