Nice mock
Like it
Brian O'Niel and Quenton Meeks won't be anywhere near still on the board where you're mocking then. Armstrong likely to be gone also. I like your overall strategy, however, with the positions you are attempting to fill, and the slots at which you are picking them.
Yeah Armstrong will be gone by mid round 2.

I like the mock alot. Especially the second round guard and Josh Jackson. Both day 1 starters barring injur.

One thing I did notice is unless your giving Jimmy G our entire cap with your signings we should have alot more cap to spend. Hyde would seem to be a nice re-sign with the running back depth you posted. Even a sure thing #1 WR like Robinson (JAC) would be a possible move.

Here is a interesting question for you. Who starts day 1 at corner back with your moves?
Patrick Robinson is a slot DB Williams already plays that role. We need someone on the outside to take DJs spot.

I like some of the guys you targeted in the draft but I don't see half of them going where you have them projected...what did you use for a big board?

A. Witherspoon and J. Jackson would be the outside starting CBs, while P. Robinson and K. Williams are the slots. I picked up P. Robinson in free agency because at 5"11, I feel he could start on the outside if needed, and he won't cost too much.

Concerning the cap, Jimmy G is going to cost 25-30 mil, R. Jensen at least 10 mil, and we're going to have to pay T. Brown soon, which will be at least 10 mil. I don't see the 49ers paying another receiver 12-15 mil when they are paying Garcon 9 mil and having to extend Goodwin soon. Garcon was on pace to have 80rec/1,000 yds with Hoyer/ Beathard at QB, so I feel our WR situation is good for now. I wouldn't mind if C. Hyde is re-signed at a reasonable price.

i like it. only risk is the rb position. either re-sign hyde or draft a rb. breida is good but not sure he is a full time back and joe and jeremy are unknowns.

I agree with this. Letting Hyde walk and not addressing the position either in FA or the draft (in a meaningful way) is a dangerous gambit.

Josh Jackson would replace Dontae Johnson. I used Walter Football for the draft slots (CBS had C. Ridley 36th overall, so I definitely didn't use them).

I understand the concern, but C. Hyde only averaged 3.9 ypc. I know the O-line sucked, but I think K. Shanahan could get good production out of Kevan Barlow right now with how he has defenses on their heels the entire game, dude is a great play caller. I'm seriously hoping J. Williams steps up and contributes and J. McNichols did some studying while on the practice squad, both guys have lots of talent. Go Niners!!!

Side Note...Lambs have a top 3 RB and only scored 13 points today. Also, the only true #1 RB the Patriots have had during their current dynasty was Corey Dillon, they usually have a bunch of no names that always seem to contribute. We'll be ok.

Gotcha. I still don't see the point in going for Robinson cause they just gave Williams an extension to play slot and he's started coming on strong towards the end of the yr. we need depth at outside CB even if we draft Jackson (who I like).

Also wish you would have adding something better at RB, this draft is full of good prospects.
Thanks for the mock!
