I am chomping at the bit for the this offseason to begin, so I decided to do my first mock offseason to pass the time. Due to my lack of knowledge on later round prospects coupled with it being so early in the process and things are assuredly going to change, I only went through the first 3 rounds. I used references like Spotrac , CBS draft boards, etc as well as incorporating some other posters ideas that I have seen and liked. So after FA/Draft/Resigning's, the team should still have a sizeable amount of cap space to roll into next season (50mil?). Someone might want to recheck my math though.
Anyway, flame away.
FA:
Ansah DE 2/19.0 - I have gone back and forth on this, but as a fellow poster brought up, Ansah could be had on a shorter deal due to injuries. 49ers desperately need an edge rusher, so if he can stay healthy at a reasonable price I think they need to pull the trigger. There is also the Mayhew connection.
Burton TE 3/21.6 - He seems to have the athleticism at TE that they have not had since Walker/VD. Also seems to have pretty sure hands. He and Kittle could form nice duo.
Jensen C 3/24- (using Linsley's contract as a baseline). Other knowledgeable posters have indicated that he would be a good fit in this offense and they definitely need an upgrade at C
Mckinnon RB 3/13.2 - Looks to have the skillset for Shannahan's offense and can catch the ball out the backfield and is a burner.
Trades:
3rd (74) to PIT for Bryant (I would say their 4th, but I think it would take a 3rd to get it done). I personally love his skillset, regardless of some of his issues.
#9 to AZ for #15 and #47. There is about an 80 point discrepancy here for SF to make up, so not sure what the requirements are in terms of how close the values need to be. A late round pick could be included to even things out.
15-Josh Jackson CB
47-Braden Smith OG (can also play OT in a pinch, so flexibility is a plus as well).
55-Jeff Holland SAM LB (could be gone before this pick however)
70-Rashaan Evans (again, highly doubt this is feasible and he is here, but CBS has him currently #67)
Resign: (not sure what most of these guys will command, but it should be minimal)
JG-5/125
Reid
Coyle
Kilgore
Fusco
Gilliam
Let walk:
-Hyde
-Tank
Lineups:
Offense:
QB-JG/Beathard
RB-Breida/McKinnon/Williams
WR-Garcon/Goodwin/Bryant/Taylor/Bourne
TE-Burton/Kittle/Celek
OL: Staley/Smith/Jensen/Garnett/Brown (Fusco/Kilgore/Gilliam/Tomlinson)
Defense:
DE: Thomas/AA
DT:Buckner/Day
NT: Mitchell/Jones
Leo: Ansah/Elvis
OLB/Will: Smith/Evans (inevitably could be Evans at Mike and Foster at Will)
ILB/Mike: Foster/Coyle
OLB Sam: Holland/Harold/Pita
CB: Witherspoon/Jackson/Ward
CB Slot: Williams/Ward
FS: Colbert/Ward
SS: Tartt/Reid

I like your FA thoughts, I really doubt we can get Ansah, but we could sign a top CB to fill a FA need and get some needed experience at CB.
Draft is good, but Evans will at worst be gone by 47 but more than likely at the bottom of the 1st round unless combine kills him.
Jackson, Smith, and Holland would all be much needed upgrades.

Yeah. Maybe just find a WILL/MLB that could be avail in the 3rd or a Safety incase Tartt backups Malcolm Smith at WILL

Really don't like Ansah signing. Hes broken down. I like Bryant but a 3rd is way too much ti give up. Our o line sucks ass not sure why you re sign three of them. They need to be trimmed off the roster

I actually like everything you did but I would rather go cornerback in free agency then get one in the draft. We need a vet to help mr. spoon

And personally Reid and tarrt as starters. Tarrt played the best at fs over anyone we had lineup there

Only because it seems like the coaching staff likes Kilgore and Fusco and eantvthem back. I'm fine with them as backups. Gilliam was just affordable depth as a swing OT. They probably could do better, but I was going the cheap route

I like Tank and he's essentially what we traded Alex for...Not a good reason to keep him but I feel like when he was drafted he was asked to be something he wasn't then moved to 3-4 DE, which he wasn't, and finally is in his natural position and playing pretty well....
Sorry about the Tank tangent, but the Mock is good, I like everything...My heart is set on Josh Jackson and Braden Smith
