2018 NFL Mock Off-Season
Free Agency:
Cornerback..... A top priority in the off-season. I really hope we sign a starting corner as opposing to drafting one very early in the draft.
I can't predict who we will sign, but I do think we will sign a good to very good free agent corner. I don't think we will get into the bidding war for Trumaine Johnson and as much as I like Kyle Fuller and he would be a perfect fit/addition here, I don't think we will be in his price range either. So the two guys I have my eye on are Aaron Colvin from Jacksonville and Darqueze Dennard from Cincinnati. Rashaan Melvin from Indy and T.J Carrie from Oakland are two other guys to keep an eye out for.
Justin Pugh, LG, Giants: This would be a home-run pick-up. A 27 year old, very solid and versatile guard who can also play tackle in a pinch. But he would be a major upgrade for us at LG and is a great fit in this scheme. Would be an all-around outstanding signing. Josh Kline and Zach Fulton are two second tier guys I would look at.
Pass Rusher: A major need. I think Elvis Dummervil will be brought back and I think Solomon Thomas will be more a pass rush presence next year but I do see us addressing this area in free agency and the draft. I think we will make a run at Ezekiel Ansah but will not overspend to get him. Two names I would keep an eye out for our Trent Murphy from Washington and Alex Okafor from New Orleans. They are fairly young, would not cost a lot and would be a good fit as a Leo.
Wide Receiver: Allen Robinson would be a home-run addition and just what we need, but I can't see us spending 50+ Mill (which Robinson will get) on a WR. I could be wrong but I think we will draft a WR in the 2nd or 3rd rd and sign a decent FA WR like Marquise Lee, Terrell Pryor or maybe even a Mike Wallace..
Running Back: Do we re-sign Carlos Hyde? At the right price, yes absolutely he will be back. I think it is 60-40 he comes back. I do think we will draft a kid in the 3rd or 4th rd either way to compete with Hyde, Joe Williams and Matt Breida. If we don't re-sign Hyde, a guy like Issiah Crowell could make sense.
O-Line Depth: Sign at least another guy who can back-up, if not compete at Center and/or guard. OT depth would not hurt either.
2018 NFL Draft
First Round: Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia: With Quentin Nelson gone and if we can't trade down, I think Smith is the pick here.
Second Round Harold Landry, OLB, Boston College or Rashaan Evans, OLB, Alabama. We move up into the middle/early part of the second round to get one of these perfect WILL LB's. We trade New Orleans 2nd rd pick and a future 3rd rd pick. Issiah Wynn could also be an option if he is available.
Third Round: Will Hernandez, G, UTEP
Third Round: (from Chicago): J.C Jackson, CB, Maryland
Fourth Round: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State or Deontay Burnett, WR, USC
Fifth Round: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
Sixth Round: Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, Western Michigan

Cool that you brought up some doffernt ideas for FA....I will say Darqueze Dennard last I saw was under the 5-yr option through 2018. Colvin I thought was a slot guy? Wouldn't hate Melvin.
Pugh's injuries are concerning,knee/back/concussions not sure how i feel about that.
Murphy/okafor would be cheaper but are both coming off IR correct?
Please no to Pryor or Wallace, lee is interesting just don't think he brings anything to the table that we don't have.
Not sure why we don't spend some cash on the top guys in FA
Will Hernandez isn't a zone-blocking guard. I can't see harris or Landry dropping out of the 1st and Chukwuma Okorafor is looked at as a top 100 pick from what I've been seeing.
Just critiquing some stuff thanks for the mock!

Thanks for the 411, very appreciated it. Yes we have the cash as of now but obviously signing Jimmy G to a long term deal will eat some of that cap room. I don't think we will go crazy in the off-season but I do certainly expect us to add at least 2-3 guys who will be upgrades.
Free Agent WR's will be a tough one, I think we almost have to take a shot on a incentive laden deal with a guy like Pryor or Lee and draft a big WR as well.

Why are you dumpster diving in free agency?? We have like 150 trillion dollars to spend.
The only free agent I like is Pugh because it was my idea :)

We are not going to sign top flight free agents in my opinion. Mostly second tier guys who have a chance to be really good

I think Allen Robinson is a better and much more complete WR than Jeffery. He will get a long term deal and it will be at least $50 mill IMO

Updated with draft trades....
NFL Draft:
We trade down from 9-10 to say #22 with the Bills who also give us their second round pick..
22nd Overall: Harold Landry, OLB, Boston College: PERFECT Sam OLB
Then we move up from the Bills 2nd rd pick and also trade a 4th rd pick this year and next year.
In the 27-35 Range we select Issiah Wynn, OG-OT-C, Georgia. I really like this kid, he would be a great fit in this scheme and is a very versatile player who I think will be a pro bowl guard.
Our 2nd Rd pick (from Saints) We select Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama: Really like this kid. A very good football player. He can play MLB, Will LB and even a little SAM.
Our 3rd rd pick (from Bears): J.C Jackson, CB, Maryland: Very talented, pure cornerback. This kid is as talented as any corner in the draft and I think he will be right there with Joshua Jackson as the best corners to come out of this draft.
Our Own 3rd rd pick: Auden Tate, WR, Florida State: Gives us a big (6'5" 225pd) talented WR that we are lacking. Really high upside and will make an impact right away as a red zone target.
5th rd pick: Running Back..... Rashaad Penny, Akrum Wadley or Royce Freeman...
6th rd pick: Brian O'Neil, OT, Pittsburgh
7th rd pick: Adam Breneman, TE, UMass
Free Agency:
Sign either Ezekiel Ansah or Robert Quinn.
Make a really hard push for Allen Robinson. Otherwise I think we have to settle/take a chance on a guy like Terrell Pryor or Marquise Lee.
Sign at least One real solid interior offensive lineman.... Justin Pugh is #1 on my wish-list. I don't think we will pay big bucks to get a guy like Andrew Norwell. I could see us going after a Marshall Yanda at a reasonable price. Jake Mewhort from the Colts is a name to keep an eye out for as well.
Sign a Cornerback.... Kyle Fuller is the guy I really want and I love Truimaine Johnson but I don't think we will get either. A guy like Aaron Colvin, Darqueeze Dennard or Rashaan Melvin is more likely IMO
Sign Issiah Crowell, RB, Browns.
