It doesn't, what I meant was, you're not gonna pay a OG and a NT the same amount of money you would pay a QB, Edge Rusher, RB, or any other position. They won't demand as much money as QBs,Edge Rushers or RBs do.

As sexy as this sound, I have to agree with the above. Maybe leave out Graham, Gabriel and Lewis, since we have Kittle,Goodwin and Williams....

Would not have a problem with that. Yeah, I realized my FA is wishful thinking but anything is possible with this new regime.

I wouldn't considered Vea as just a NT. He can push and collapse the pocket and doesn't have to come out on passing down. More of a new hybrid NT that'll free up other rushes because he can pass rush himself. When Ngata was in his prime, he was unstoppable and Suggs and R.Lewis had the best years of their respectful careers. Vea is more explosive than Ngata and would put fear on any offense with him and Buck manning the middle. Im not sold on Mitchell even tho our run defense improved he was still the weak link on that line.

So who you leaving out on passing downs inside? Thomas/buck? I also like Day inside rushing as well.

Yep.

We needed receivers last year and gave 14 million to Garcon and Goodwin

We needed a LB and gave 5 mil to Malcolm Smith

We needed a FB and gave 5 mil to Juice

We brought in a ton of backs and centers so I think that will be the focus this year again.

I think this year we need a few corners, a pass rusher, a RB and a guard.

I fully expect Lynch to go crazy the first few days of free agency grabbing the guys he wants.

That moment i feel you questioned a mock draft too much lol. He just seemed to go for the gold and that made me happy lol.

I would rotate Buck and Vea with Thomas and Day with a sprinkle of AA on the inside on passing downs. If our 2nd team rotation is almost as elite as our 1st team then we're on to something good.

Team Needs: EDGE, OL, CB, RB, WR

Re-sign:
QB - J.GARROPOLLO
DE - T.CARRADINE
OL - B.FUSCO
MLB - B.COYLE
EDGE - C.MARSH

Free Agency:
EDGE - E.ANSAH
CB - K.FULLER
RB - D.LEWIS
C - R.JENSEN
SAM - N.BRADHAM
TE - J.GRAHAM
WR - T.GABRIEL
CB - R.MELVIN

Draft:
1st - QUENTON NELSON (OG)
*1st - VITA VEA (NT)
3rd - ANTHONY MILLER (WR)
4th - RASHAAD PENNY (RB)
5th - JAMARCUS KING (CB)
6th - D'ERNEST JOHNSON (RB)
7a - TRENT HARRIS (EDGE)
7b  - CASEY DUNN (C)

*Trade back into 1st Rd using 2nd(Saints) & 3rd(own)

1st rd rookie contracts for OG and NT won't break the bank and we can ride them for 5 years by picking up their 5th yr options without hurting our cap space.

Nelson is a Pro Bowler in the making and he should lock down that position for the next 10+ years. I don't care what anyone says but when you find a legit player that will protect your franchise QB for 10+ yrs at an elite level, you pick him up no matter what position you pick him. A sure Pro Bowler in any position is worth a 1st rd pick IMO.

Vita Vea..I know, I understand this is not a position of need. BUT, Just picture having a more explosive Ngata playing next to Buckner. Teams won't be able to double both of them, they will stuff the run and collapse that pocket every time. Vea doesn't have to come out on passing downs, him and Buck can push that pocket with Ansah, Dumervill, Thomas, AA and Marsh rushing from the Edge. Vea and Buck will be nightmares for any offense that we face for the next 5-10 years. Foster and the LB corps will have a field day behind this DL.

Championship teams are built from the trenches out and we took care of that with the 1st two picks and FA. After this offseason, we should have at least the top 3 OL and DL in the league.

Offense:

Staley-Nelson-Jensen-Garnett-Brown
(3 first rounders, and a very good C and RT)

Defense:

Thomas-Vea-Buckner-Ansah
(4 first rounders)
(SAM)Bradham-(MIKE)Foster-(WILL)Smith

Drafting any guard at 9/10 is why you are NOT our GM. Thank you lord!

Don't be surprised if Nelson is gone before we pick in the 1st round. Nelson is not only just a Guard. If you do some homework and watch films instead of basing your opinion on other people's evaluation of him, you would be able to tell that he is a Pro Bowl/All-Pro in the making. That's enough for me to take him no matter where we pick. We have Jimmy GQ that makes average players looked good, so QB is not an option. Garcon is coming back from injury and should flourish under Jimmy GQ, so WR is not an immediate priority but should still be addressed via FA/draft. As a matter of fact, he makes all of our skill players looked good. So how we sustain that production? Protect Jimmy and produce a running game that'll keep defenses guessing and on their toes instead of becoming a one dimensional team like the Packers. Shanahan is known for finding RB gems in the later rounds so RB wasn't an immediate priority also.

What was our weakest link on offense this past season? The interior of the OL, so what do you do? Find the best players to fix it. But if Nelson can fix it for the next 10+ years, draft his arse to do just that. If you followed my mock correctly and looked at the big picture, I fixed both the OL and DL through FA and draft. Championship teams are build from the trenches on out.

Too much people are getting caught up with draft positioning but the truth is you draft the BPA of the position of need unless a superstar falls on your lap. After all its just a mock draft...lol.
He can be a hof for all I care, we need playmakers around the ball, no guards in the 1st. Can get those later cool guy.

I would not complain a bit if we got Davenport. But the reason why I went with Vea is because I picked up Ziggy Ansah as my Edge Rusher in FA. Plus this year's draft class doesn't have an elite Edge Rusher like a Von Miller, Bosa, Clowney or a Garrett.

I know my FA is wishful thinking but the Jags had one of the highest cap spaces last year and they spend on some of the high profile players that took them to the next level. We can go the same path as the Jags and shortened our rebuilding years since we already have a FQB in our hands. Its time to compete now with Jimmy GQ

Can't have enough pass rushers!
Our weakest link on the team btw is pass rush and coverage. Not your guard savior position.

Read my question again genius. I asked what was our weakest link on OFFENSE? I hope you know the difference between the two. I tell yah, some people have tunnel visions....lol
