The 49ers could grab a lot of guys here, but I think Edmunds might be the pick. I can see him helping all 3 phases on defense. Stuff the run on 1st down, Cover a TE/RB on 2nd down, and Rush the passer on 3rd or in certain packages. There should also still be some good interior line, edge, and DB prospects when they pick again in the 2nd.

Edmunds would be a tremendous reach. Especially with Josh Jackson and Ward still on the board and CB being are #1 need on the defense.

You forgot to include the best player in the draft.

We better hope and pray the Rams don't end up with Vita Vea. Him and Donald will kill our Jimmy GQ and become the best interior duo in NFL history.
Did Saquon Barkley fell out of the 1st for some reason?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍💯💯
your explanation of the pick, your plans for the pick, along with what to target in the future rounds does indeed suggest it's what you would or want to do.

Also you have no Barkley or Guice in the first but you have michel. interesting
Pass on Edmunds

I don't think so. Don't be surprised when he is a top 15 pick
If saquon barkley is there when the niners pick, they are taking him. No doubt in my mind that both shanahan and lynch realize this offense needs an explosive offensive weapon--they are not going to pass on the opportunity to grab one when it falls in their lap.

I think he honestly(not sure how) forgot to include him, give him a chance to respond, multiple posts reminding him.

Yeah I ignored the forgetting Barkley cause it seems to be an accident. At least I hope it is.
Apologies I messed up in Word and posted from the wrong document, I just edited the post now.

I think he tests very well at the combine and the team might see a big role for him, that combined with depth in the draft at CB, Edge, and interior line, the team might take a chance on him as a potential impact player. I do agree talent wise now + college production = Reach, but if the team sees him as a potential starter at weakside, who can play all 3 downs, and if he is, then it can be worth it.

In regards to Ward, I know he is willing and capable of run support in college, but in this division, will he be able to hold up with 3 teams who either want to run the ball (Seattle), or have a big back to pound the rock (Gurley, Johnson).

And Jackson, I don't know if he separates himself enough ceiling-wise from Isaiah Oliver and Carlton Davis, and others to justify the pick at 9/10, unless they do identify CB as the #1 need. Depth wise there may be a few CB's in the 2nd and 3rd rounds who have the requisite Size/Athleticism/Ball Skills the team identifies as potential picks.

Appreciate the feedback. Who would you prefer to be the pick and why?

I would actually prefer to trade down and pick Billy Price getting at least another 2nd round pick to add with the Saints Pick, then with the first 2nd grab the highest rated player at 1 of either Edge or CB, then do the same with the second 2nd round pick, and if I couldn't trade I would take Key or Landry depending on interviews and film sessions combined with their combine numbers.

I didn't mean to leave Barkley out but I did leave Guice out on purpose. I just think he might slip to the early 2nd, he had an injury which slowed him down this year, and Michel had a better year statistically and played in the CFP which just means more tape. I also think he tests better than Guice at the combine, add in consistent pass catching production and the Lions who need a back may prefer him over Guice. Just my opinion though.

Who would you prefer and why?
