NYniner85 post senior bowl mock

Okay so mock #2 I want to let everyone know this is what I'd like to do not necessarily what our FO will do.

FA:

ZIggy Ansah DE- true LEO and would help a ton with our pass rush. 4 yrs $53 million (front load a little to help down the road)

Kyle Fuller - Perfect fit for our scheme, my one worry is Chi tags him...I'd look at giving him a contract similar to Darius Slay so 4 yrs $48 million ( I won't be surprised if we look at T Johnson as well)

Ryan Jensen C-I hope we go after him, dude is an enforcer...I won't be surprised if we look at the draft as well. 4 yrs $34 million

Resign:

Jimmy G- 5 yrs $125 million (possibly more)

Eric Reid- He should get paid but might be off a lot of teams boards in FA...we could give him a short-term deal somewhere around 2 yrs $12 million and he can still hit FA at a young age again.

Fusco-Fine backup can find a upgrade another 1 yr $1.4 million.

Cut:

Zane Beadles-save $3 million
Aldrick Robinson-save $2 million
Laken Tomlinson-save $1.6 million

(I would think long and hard about moving on from Ward and possibly Dumervil)

Draft:

I have us drafting 9th...TRADE we move down to 15th (Zona get's a QB) We in turn get their 15th/2nd/5th

1st- Derrius Guice RB: Yes yes many will hate the pick, but dude is a stud and we go BPA. Great instincts/vision/power. 3 down back and one of the better pass blockers in the draft. He will help Jimmy G and the OL overall.

2nd TRADE we move up and give our 2nd and a 4th.

Isaiah Wynn OG-Love this kids film. He has baby hands which might push him down, but is very athletic and a ideal fit for our system.

2nd (ours): Ogbonnia Okoronkwo DE- He's come along so far in the draft process. I actually love that he's shorter with long arms. He does have issues once a OL get's a hold of him. I can see him as a SAM and nickle pass rusher similar to Elvis. Some people will think he could be gone by here, but I still see him as a mid 2nd rounder (we can always move up a little if need be.

3rd-DaeSean Hamilton WR- Love what he did at the Senior Bowl. Great route-runner solid size.

3rd- Quenton Meeks CB- dude has size SF wants and is a Lynch guy. He's got to work on the ball skills a little, but overall there's a lot to work with.

4th- (pitt) Bradley Bozeman C- I'll take a center from Alabama no problem. He looked great in drills at the Senior Bowl plus we interviewed him.

5th-Josey Jewell (Jets) IlB- He's got a nose for the football and you know what you're getting from the Iowa program. I don't think he will test well and will drop.

5th (Zona) Siran Neal CB- He's another big bodied CB that has the look of a safety but the speed of a CB. He's a project but upside is wild. We met with him as well at the Senior Bowl.

That's all I'm rolling with for now (no time to finish the rest)

Not bad but...

You would rather have Guice/Meeks over Josh Jackson and either Penny or Chubb? Possibly even Michel

Josh Jackson is better than Meeks ny more the Guice is better than Michel, Penny or Chubb IMO.

but your mock and even Sus couldnt be mad at this offseason as you constructed it.

Though you cut tomlinson, call fusco a backup and only drafted 1 OG. so you have Garnett starting?

I love it. All of it except for Josey Jewell, I dont think he's an NFL LB. He's slow and cant play in space.

I'm a big fan of Jackson and I like Michel/Penny as well. Getting Fuller in FA kinda pushes down CB in the draft. I have Garnett starting along with Wynn with Fusco backing up, I think that's a fine OG core and we can always grab a UDFA late rd prospect as well...we also have the kid from Michigan that can play multiple spots.

Hero kinda got me off Thomas...seems to make a ton of mental mistakes unlike Jewell. I think Thomas goes a little higher based on upside and athletic ability.
If we are going LB later, I like the Leonard kid from South Carolina State or Tegray Scales.

What mental errors were he talking?
