NYniner85 post senior bowl mock

Norwell is gonna command at least $10+ million a yr and I don't really think he's a perfect fit for us. I think Braden Smith and Wyatt Teller could be looked at as well.

I agree we need some size at WR...I think Hamilton has some size to him at 6-1 205. I also think Donte Moncrief could be a interesting on a one yr deal.

can't get it all done in one yr

I was going to say, that last line sums it up.

Not a fan of your 1st pick but other than that solid mock overall.

Thanks, just curious what don't you like about Guice?

Don't get me wrong, he's a great player and love the way he runs. I just think this years draft is loaded at RB and we should be able to find a great fit in the later rounds.

Btw, just realized you traded down to get him so I definitely won't be disappointed if that happens.

Yeah I'm not drafting him in the top 10, moving down grabbing some more picks and getting a stud RB sounds good to me. IMO he's an ideal fit for this system....think of him as Alford Morris on steroids (runs a 4.41 40) and can catch the ball.

You don't think Shanahan would get impatient with Guice's tendency to hesitate and jump cut on interior runs? I REALLY like the way he finishes runs and breaks tackles, and he has more than enough speed to gain the edge on OZ, but I hesitate to see him as a great fit for Kyle, who seems to favor decisive, upfield runners.

Typical NY...half effort.

HA! I like to do the mocks at work on a desktop didn't have a ton of time

Here's some love for you brother!

Of course. Guice is what Frank Gore would've been without those damn knee injuries at the U. I think we all know that Scot has a perpetual priapism for Gore.

Then when you watch guice you just say okay. But he always gets the job done. And he always gets it done well. I like him a lot it's just weird watching them cuz there's no wow factor but like I said he just gets the job done and I think he will do the same thing on the next level.

I love what you did in free agency also. I think bringing in Fuller, is not only huge for a defense but it's huge for spoon.

Exactly how i feel about guice. He seems to be grouped with a few otjer RBs who also just get the job done well

There are two types of guys that run fast 40s: guy that explode out of the blocks and accelerate to top speed VERY quickly, but don't necessarily have elite top speed, and guys that build up to top speed slowly, but run blisteringly fast at that top speed. I see Guice as the 1st type, which is my preference in an RB. He might occasionally get caught in the NFL, but he'll produce more consistently.

The unicorns are the guys who both accelerate like a flash and have elite top speed. Not a lot of those.

I don't see him hesitate at all. He looks like a decisive runner to me.

Here's his strengths from NFL.com

"Completely different talent on healthy 2016 tape as opposed to injured 2017. Well built combining powerful lower body with good overall size. Winning combination of speed, power and balance. Good recognition of early trouble from penetration and makes alterations. Has quality vision and is able to make sudden cuts without rolling into low gear. Rarely rushes as interior runner. Sets up blocks and follows the plan. Gathers weight quickly after cuts and re-establishes his base. Exceptional contact balance carrying power to punish second-level tacklers. Can create his own fortune. Has footwork and athleticism to spin out of tackle attempts. Able to push piles. Shows ability to impose his will in the fourth quarter. Angle tackles won't get it done. Possesses homerun capability when he finds open field. Not a classic third-down back, but can pick up patches of yards out of backfield."

I think he's a fine fit for this scheme.

A lot going on here...like he guys you targeted. I can't see buffalo giving up both 1sts to move up 6 spots.

What did we get from zona to move down?

I'm going to assume the 49ers traded down with Buffalo 1st and then Buffalo traded down with Arizona.

No idea
Arizona from 15 to SF's 10th spot (gave up 1 & 2).. then Buffalo who needs a QB and worried of San Diego drafting a future in Lamar, offer us their two 1st rounders to jum in front of San Diego... then drafts LJ !!

So we got Zona's 15th & 2nd and both of the bills 1sts?
yeah.. it cost Arizona their 1st (15th) & 2nd to move to the 10th spot..

Then Buffalo gave us their two 1st rounders for the 15th overall..
