Here it is guys! The GREATEST mock ever.
I don't have the f**king time to get every detail right and I'm not going to worry about cap impact as we have a lot of money and I only have us signing 5 major FA's.
Anyway here we go!
Key retentions:
Reid: Dude is solid. We should keep him especially with Jimmie Ward starring as Mr. Glass.
Key losses (ho hum):
Hyde
Coyle
Lynch
D. Johnson
Tank
Murphy
FA signings (offense):
1. Allen Robinson, 6'2, 220, age 24. Let's take a chance on this big bodied highly productive #1 WR. His all-around abilities would be a great complement to Goodwin and Garcon.
2. Jerick McKinnon, 5'9, 215, age 25: Hyde who? Let's sign a new #1 RB in this highly explosive super quick athlete who can run inside or out and can also catch the damn ball.
3. Andrew Norwell: 6'6, 325, age 26: We must invest now in protecting Jimmy G so let's pick up this boss of a guard who doesn't let anyone touch his QB, ever.
FA signings (defense):
1. Demario Davis, 6'2, 245, age 29: Beast of a LB who can play sideline to sideline, defend the pass, and rush the passer. PFF's highest graded FA linebacker. Had 15 QB hits last season.
2. Malcolm Butler, 5'11, 190, age 28: His play says it all and he can play on the outside or slot. We'll need his leadership to help our young secondary.
2018 Draft picks!
1st Round, (#9): Quenton Nelson (6'5, 330) of Notre Dame baby. Again we need to protect Jimmy G especially with guys like Aaron Donald in our division. Best guard in the draft in a long time.
2nd Round pick (#34): We need to trade up to the 32-36 range get our #1 CB and that is Carlton Davis (6'1, 205) out of Auburn. And we do this by giving up #57 and # 74 and maybe a 4th round next year. Dude is the perfect press corner for our scheme. Why invest in an old and hobbled Dick Sherman in FA when you can get this dude in the draft! He will lock down half the field for us for the next 7-8 years!
3rd round pick (#62): Another superb weapon for Jimmy G that will pair nicely with Kittle. And that is ultra-athletic Mike "Sick" Gesicki (6'5, 247). Dude has a ridiculous catch radius with tremendous hops and is faster than most receivers.
4th round pick (#128): Let's roll the dice with a potential pass rushing extraordinaire candidate in Rutger's Kemoko Turray (6'5, 250). His NFL draft profile has the word "Explosive" listed like a zillion times. Pass rushing downs fingers to the ground only!
5th round pick (#143): With Foster's status in limbo let's pick up this violent and aggressive inside linebacker thumber in Auburn's Jeff Holland (6'2, 250). I l also like this statement from his profile from NFL "Was in the quarterback's business all year long". Hahaha just what we need.
6th and 7th rounds:
Chad Kanoff (6'4, 205), QB, Princeton. Let's take a flyer on this intriguing QB prospect. Yes, I saw the zone news headline. Dude needs to add some weight though.
Levi Wallace (6'0, 180), underrated under-the-radar CB from Alabama. Dude walked on and earned a starting role at Alabama??? I think he's the next Malcolm Butler in terms of NFL impact.
PJ Hall (6'1, 310). From a small conference (Southland) from Sam Houston State. Dominated the conference for four straight years. Dude is built like a fire hydrant, compact and explosive and can push the pocket. Profile says he's always mirroring the QB's scrambles forcing secondary sacks. Widget better worry about this dude.
