Mock draft 4.0

Free agent signings:

CB- Trumaine Johnson, LA Rams
6'2, 215
Miscast last year in Wade Phillips scheme but he is still one if the league's premier corners.  He slots in and immediately shores up out secondary.
5 years, 66 million, 35 guaranteed
15M year 1

DE- Ziggy Ansah, Detroit
6'5, 275
An elite pass rusher when he is healthy. Has the Martin Mahew connection and we need a pass rusher. This makes sense.
5 years, 60 million, 25 guaranteed
12M year 1

OC- Ryan Jensen
6'4, 320
Tough and physical. Shores up our line. Shanahan needs a center to run this scheme and Jensen is a good one.
5 years, 47.5 million, 30 guaranteed
10M year 1

RB- Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland
Tough, physical runner
3 years, 15M

OG- Chris Hubbard, Pittsburg
6'4, 290
Ideal guard for a zone scheme. Tough and athletic. Started this year at RT for Pittsburg and played well. He competes with Josh Garnett for a starting job. Versatile
4 years, 12 million

CUT:
CB- Jimmy Ward. There is no chance we go into next year with Ward as our 2nd highest paid player. We may convert his 8.5 mil salary to a signing bonus over a long term deal but so far he hasn't proved that he deserves one. Adrian Colbert has taken his job so I expect Ward to be cut. Save $8,526,000 million

G- Zane Beadles Save $3,000,000 million

Re-Sign:
QB- Jimmy Garappolo 5 years, 137.5M
(42.6M year 1)
DE- Cassius Marsh 2 years, 7.7M
(3M year 1)
LB- Brock Coyle 2 years, 4M

Free agent Losses:
S- Eric Reid
RB- Carlos Hyde
C- Daniel Kilgore
G- Brandon Fusco
CB- Dontae Johnson
DE- Tank Carradine
DE- Aaron Lynch

2018 cap space: $69,811,000 before FA
2018 cuts total - $11,526,000
Remaining cap space: $81,337,000
Draft class - 12M

Very nice, other then Crowell I really like your free agents, and great draft, tho I'd like if you drafted a LB earlier, great job tho you Basically covered every need..

Thanks for the input.

Why are you not high on Crowell. He is a better, younger version of Hyde IMO.

As for the LBers...we have Malcolm Smith coming back at WILL and I drafted Lorenzo Carter as a nice pass rushing sideline to sideline LBer who could challenge Harold at SAM. I don't put a huge priority on the SAM backer and their main priority is setting the edge. Any production we get is a bonus. And I can't see a rookie other than Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds starting over the guys we have.

Tegray Scales could be a nice find later on and his instincts are off the charts plus I re-signed Coyle who settled down the D when he wad inserted as a starter. He is a nice backup to have.

Honestly I'm not big on any free agent RB if Hyde is not resigned unless it's Bell which is a pipe dream, or trading for Tevin Coleman, I'd rather draft a RB like you did in Walton who is my sleeper RB in this draft and let him Brieda and Williams battle, competition brings out the best, I like Carter a lot and think he would beat out Harold, as for WILL backer Smith could be upgraded possibly by Scales who I like also as a prospect but I'd go with a LB earlier instead of the corner from LSU you took since you're signing Johnson, I like Victor or Kiser who both could go before the 3rd tho..I just don't trust Smith and Coyle is a great ST guy but that's it..

I wonder if ATL would trade Coleman? He is in a contract year and doubtful to be back. He could be our lead dog and we can re-sign him long term.

Yup I was thinking the same thing..he's definitely going to leave ATL bc he wants to be a starter, won't be surprised if Shanahan gets his guy back

I could see them holding onto him til last second like Pats did with Jimmy G, Freeman insurance, the guy has been known to miss games. Also I am high on Crowell, I prefer him over any FA RB out there. I think he would do well in this offense.

Whether he is a perfect fit for our offense or not he's probably the best running back available for free agency. Maybe I would take Dion Lewis but everybody else has less Talent
